What is the Proper spread of a tribe?

Hello all. I am a new player to this game and am greatly enjoying it. I started about 2 weeks ago and read a bunch of guides and seem to be growing nicely. I joined a random tribe with some active members, and my little area of the world seems to be taking shape as the people around me join tribes and start to communicate with other.

I am curious to know how spread out a tribe should be from each other. I have about 3 tribe mates in my 7*7 and am worried they could inhibit my potential growth. Looking at other tribes in our area, people seem a little more spread out. I am curious to know how a well organized tribe would recruit members in relation to each other.

Should be far at least 10 tiles away is a good spread. Considering this is a church and haul world.
