Ah, I missed these...

3. Ugofree: Creater of Viruis, built for the purpose of fighting PnP, solid concept, poor execution. Offspring of Daethon in all things.
Great guy, fought fair, kept his tribes spirits up against overwhelming odds, never surrendered, never gave up an easy village, the best defender on this server (outside PnP). He was an enemy but I admired the way he carried himself, so peaceful and humble.

thankyou mid ,yeap i choose poor execution i ddnt play with politics :(,
but am not an offspring of deathon (i mailed oly once with him i learn the game with padx brothers)

Valsar quoate:

- Ugofree: My first opposition who made me realise just how far i still had to go and how much i had to learn. Only fought him indirectly through TESB accounts he was sitting in k25 but it was clear how good a defender he was (and how little chance i had of making any progress while he was around ). Yet he never showed any sign of arrogance and always carried himself with dignity and respect!

happy to see you still r ember me.anyway thank you friend.
yeap your trains still are best i have seen i know only way i have to keep u silonce is chat with you coz i was already defending 3 fronts of Tesb.p

lol, did you just come out and quote what few positive things were said about you in the entire history of W21?
You did, didn't you!
Why?

LOL Perhaps you are only now seeing the Ugo that I knew.

Others have said he is a good defender.

I never saw that. He only knew how to stack. I don't think he ever sniped anything from me. Stacking takes no skill. I don't blame him though; if I can stack, I stack; if not, I snipe. Meh, maybe he was a good defender while living in the core but I never saw it on the rim.

Others say he never gave up a vill easily.

His deletion was an easy giving away of tribe vills.

Others have said he is humble and not arrogant.

Perhaps as a player???... but as a diplomat he was arrogant. His "Join me or die" invitations and merge proposals internally, largely gave him weak players who didn't want to stand up for themselves and externally, well, it gave his enemies fuel for the fight. His quoting of the good things said about him only shows that he is self-absorbed.

Others say he helped his tribe.

To me, the greatest injustice he did to his tribe was to delete. A good player, a loyal player, and even much more so, a good and loyal leader, would have assured at least his frontline vills were internally nobled. Instead he deleted allowing the tribe's enemies to take his barbs and his ally (IMP) took many of his former vills from Virius to themselves. Many Virius players have told me how they felt screwed over.

Others say he kept his tribe's spirits up against overwhelming odds.

Hmmm. I think tribes like G.Barb and UEW were against overwhelming odds, not Virius. Overwhelming is when a player 4x the size of your tribe's largest player attacks.

That said, I missed you for a long time, Ugo. I enjoyed attacking you and eating you. But now, meh, I don't miss you anymore.

Well said LadyCounsel though I assume G.barb had much more overwhelming odds then UEW21 because of size and morale issues.

When you get to the stage of having to snipe all the time there is no turning back. To say a good defender is someone who does just snipe is poor.

If under large scale attack & able to work out multiple timings to save both walls & troop loss now that takes skill.
Going one stage further & even being able to read the surroundings so as you have no need to even move troops or spend all day on the game now that is pure class :)

Agree with your first, and indeed your second points, but the third... depends entirely on the amount of support you are getting from your tribe, the scale of the attacks on you and the skill of the attackers. Fully surrounded with nobles at close range all around you, you'd at least need to check every 3 to 5 hours or so as a general rule of thumb and thats on a 1 speed world.

I would just let them have the villages then, damned if I'm going down that path again of waking up in the middle of the night to check for attacks :)

Mind you if it was on such a scale they would need to send attacks from at least 8 hours away to get any chance of clearing a front, even with just self support from what little core area you have. I guess this boils down to how close your villages area & how many barbs the world has.

When you are small, as I was at the start of the Virius - G.Barb war, dodging and sniping is what you have to do to stay alive. I do believe there were times Ugo could have kept me from taking his vill if he had dodged and sniped. To top it off, he frequently sent trains at me with no nukes in front of them or escorted with the first noble. He was cocky and sloppy. If he underestimated or didn't understand what could be done with the dodging or sniping on the part of the enemy, I think it says he just didn't get it at worst; at best it says the once "great defender" got lazy. Remember there were 3 brothers co-playing at times, surely one could have gotten up to dodge or snipe...and time some nukes before his train to show he understood the concept.

my friend i have participated almost all the wars in w21 has seen and i never said i will not gave away vills,i had only one enemy in my core(mystic)we had some misunderstandings , but if u message him we had become friends in the end and i have given free villages to him too:) but when i was in core am an aggressive player when i was n core with alex the only front lines was not been taken by ex arg and puffin was k54 even they have the best players in our area
w21 is my first server and from w21 i have learnt the game.(the only thing keep me fight was i love playing in w21 )

As i know your exictment in taking my few vills in k93,to clear this i never stacked any of my villages in the rims.almost 70% of my defense was in imp villages . i never withdraw any troops from their even i was lossing my frontlines.

and as u quote i never gave the vills easy(about my deletion) its my real life problem not in-game problem.

perhaps. as an leader i was weak in diplomats, yes i only wanted the best rim players who can fight with me but i have helped my best the players who joined with me.
.but in a way i succeed i made an tribe from scratch

yes g-barb and the leader of G-barb was good, he never had an idea in joining of our tribe.but only was i was forced you guys to join with us but it went wrong in the Nap:( but at end u guys made an good decision.p

my friend for ur record u have seen me "ugofree" and virus as your enemy and the only enemy u have in w21 perhaps now imp:p(
we are nothing compare to what the ex.members of muffin and arg) . but i have seen more an a tribe (pnp)attacking me more than 60 members and 10x size who attacked me more than a month with 5000 real nukes hit my core vills and more than 200+ nobles hit same time. at that time my support from others was less than 5 % but i ddnt loose more than 1% of my villa.but i love enjoy the game the only happning made to feel bad ingame was when alex join pnp and straight away he ask me to take free villages am not blaming alex coz he had to take my villages in order to stay in pnp.

yes i missed the fights too in w21 and i love enjoy your spirit in the game, have fun//

i never underestimate your talents, yes was sloppy because my ingame time was only an hour in a day!!
and you have 24/7 online when i was attacking.
and i was sitting some imp frontlines too i know even i loose some vills i can take back in future but i do my best when i sit others.
