Who's the best player?

Well, I had an idea here last night after thinking about who is, indeed, the best player in the world. I'm not too sure how genuine it is, but here it is.

Two players (ideally), would find a cluster of ~10-20 villages to noble that have fronts with one another to have a battle.

A couple rules could be something like:

- If you win, you give up the other half of what you took so a new player could come to the front to battle it out with you.
- The villages can't be used in anything but the 1 on 1 battle.
- No outside interference (support, offense, or otherwise) is allowed.

There could be more than 1 battle going on at the same time in different areas, as this game takes forever to travel some places. Sitters could potentially be a problem, as well as other things, but figured I'd toss this idea out there to get some thinking caps going and see if anyone would be interested. If all went well, maybe a tribe or two could offer up 20-40 villages of an internal that would be the battle zone.

Like I said, just an idea to pass the time or keep interest going.

It won't work, because anyone already on a war front won't have the time to dedicate to it. And anyone who needs a nighttime sitter for a war related thing would probably interfere. It'd be impossible to keep it fair.

Actually, if all the major tribes agree to allow this, I can see outside interference being completely avoidable.

I admire the idea, but I feel like it's a bitch of a stretch given the situation the world is in - however boring it is on some sides.

Reallocating resources to initiate the deal, focusing on the "match", while also juggling war(s) seems like overkill. I think the world can speculate reasonably who the strongest players are in a skillset sort of way, not just size.

Why would you need to move resources? On top of potentially being against the rules, you would be able to farm with said villages.

Focusing on 10-20 villages doesn't seem like it'd be too hard. Obviously we could do the challenge when someone doesn't have thousands of incoming. And of course, this would have to be agreed upon by all leaders to go down, because the villages would be given up in the end to whoever territory it was that gave it up to begin with. That way if anyone tried abusing the villages we could simply deal with it one way or another.

I already know whom I think the top players are on this world. Regardless of point size, there are several outstanding players, and not just from my own tribe.

Although I do admire the concept Arith, I do not see it as being practical and fair way to judge ability. If you had a few players that wished to try their skills against each other, it would make a good spectator sport, but could not truly test the depths of their skill.

Knowing the technical skills of Tribal Wars is not all there is to the game. You have to have the dedication and commitment to a long term game like this is. I have come across just about everyone here so far, either through personal experience, or through tribal business. There have been players in the past here that were good, but not mid-game players. That is a balance many players have yet to learn.

That being said, if a few players wished to try this, I would stipulate in the rules no co players allowed. In addition, a neutral-ish sitter should be set up beforehand, or screenshots of those villages in question to a neutral party on a regular basis should keep it a fair fight.

Well, it would be more "fun" than anything. It wasn't really ever meant to be much more than that.

Didnt anyone tell you mate? your not meant to have fun playing TW :p

If you can convince the pros to sidetrack themselves with a tournament, all the better for the noobs like me to keep farming and growing and make ground on them :icon_twisted:

i actually like this idea alot. there are some players out there that i have noticed believed that their size makes them skilled. obviously they are a 5million point player so they HAVE to be better then you. This is not always the case though when it gets broken down to a village on village match like being suggested. i will admit making it to the million mark and beyond takes some skill but there is a standard of luck and good positioning in there sometimes that negates skill.

I would like to see something like this show up so personalities that trash talk could be called out in a skill match such as this, though this does not test the full level of that players skill because i am sorry but if i have two snipes coming in one to a fronline i have to make and one to my tourney area i am more then likely going to have to let the tourney village go, so their would be ups and downs to this.

Not a bad idea for a mini game for people who may be bored, but in terms of 'overall best player' I'm not sure this would provide much insight. It seems like a mini version of the overall game and should be won by the person with the most interest in the mini game rather than the best player in the world.

When it gets down to whos the best out of the best, its really gunna be who gets to be on more. I dont see much difference between lets say the 1st and 2nd in skill.

I like the idea, but doesn't seem very feasible at the moment with all the current wars.

And I mean really we all know I'm the best in this world :icon_cool:

I think this idea might work for a different game but not Tribal wars. there's too many problems with it the main one being outside interference and no way of stopping it.

Also I don't think you can gauge who is the "best" player in this game, alot of what makes a player successful in this game has nothing to do with the player and more to do with what tribe there in, there location and basically there stamina to stick the game out. Its called Tribalwars after all.

also if you think about it brilliant players from other worlds, when they join a new world get rimmed all the time
