I'll give you guys till Friday to come up with a conclusion, if you haven't then I'll just count the yes and no's and put it on the milestones according to which side was more favoured.

if it marks the end of the C2-SF war like C2 claims it does then yes its a significant event...

Why? The start of the war wasn't a significant event, and so far no war ending has been considered a significant event unless it resulted in a merger.

Not sure if it's a milestone, but we're at 300 people. The entire world would now fit in 4 tribes with some room to spare :icon_wink:

Speaking of numbers, and I know this isn't a milestone:

When I first joined w16, the main tribalwars page where it shows xxx,xxx players already...that was over 400,000.

Now, 2 years later it has been reduced by nearly 2/3rd's.

That's a collective loss, from all players in all worlds on this .net, of around 300+ people per day.:icon_eek:

I remember from my time on the team that the number you refer to actually counted all account instances, so if you played on 3 different worlds on the same account, you were counted 3 times. I'm not sure if they fixed that, or if activity really has dropped that much...no way of telling.

Another thing to consider here is that TW opened a lot of region/language-specific versions of the game in the past year or two, which probably draws players away as well. I'm Dutch, and tribalwars.nl alone lists over 100,000 players. However, I think this is just a side effect and the main cause for the number dropping is the bug fix Cap mentioned earlier. For example, look at the speed with which new worlds are needed and fill up; it's much faster than a year or two ago, and there's no way that could happen unless we have more players than before.

C² first to 1.5bil ODA. My post on the page before this is still accurate and kept up-to-date in case Violett needs a reference point :). Also, Lamarth seems to be hitting the 100mil ODA mark before anyone else hits the 75mil ODA mark...quite amazing. He has 4mil to go til the 100mil ODA milestone, adam (in second place for ODA) has 7mil to go for the 75mil ODA milestone.

C² is first to 300mil points in the top 40, ranman007 is the first player to 1250 villages. Congrats!
