@NOOD, are you saying that unless you are a perfect individual you should not be a leader?

A leader is the best representation of a tribe. No, a leader should not be perfect in all aspects. However, he should be competent if not more so in most traits. If a leader comes across as childish and immature, the tribe seems so as well. If a leader is an awful player, a lot can be speculated by the players who choose to follow him. If a leader can't argue for himself, present an idea, or sway the crowd, then he cannot have the respect of the TW Forums.

I havent really had a problem recently to tell you the truth. In all honesty I actually have been doing pretty good, until this came up, and memories were brought back.

I led a top 20 tribe with 29 members in it on W30 with a top 100 account, and I was in REBELZ with Simz..

I mean I am not looking to brag, but I really havent had any rough spots sence Panda. But I do understand what you are saying about me not leading with my past experience, but like I said I really am not doing bad right now.

EI

:icon_neutral: Its awfully hard to say a leader is not doing bad when the day he steps into power the tribe splits in half.

What would you say a tribe is without a leader then?

@smiz, i can only give my point of view, not others.
i am happy with people reading my mail, replying, doing whatever they like tbh. if they get the job i ask them done, and theyr bored, they are more than welcome to do this. its almost always been the same when i sit for people.
im always in tribes with friends, this plays a big part obviously, but isnt that what tribes are for? making friends, helping them out. growing together etc etc

i understand some people like privacy, but for an online game's mail?

again, this is just my POV, i cant speak for others, but personally, i feel nothing wrong was done by wall

Simply put: I'm very cautious of who I set as my sitter. Much of the time, I'd rather not be sat than to sit someone other than my regular sitter.

Maybe you should try getting better at P&P, a leader should have no weakness.

Everyone has it's own weaknesses wether your a leader or a normal member. It's just up to us how we will handle with that weaknesses. Nobody's perfect, let's just give them a chance to be almost perfect.

P.S we should not read others mail. Let's just mind our own thing and let the other do there own thing. ;)

I think it depends on how well you know the person..

If they tell you not to, dont do it.

But if you are a good friend of them, been around them for a while. I think it would be ok. But some people are diffrent, thats what I think.

I dont care that TheWall read my mail. I just think that before he jumped to conclusions he should have asked me what was going on... Then we wouldnt even be having this conversation.

yes in that quote i was taking it to the other extreme, NOOD said a leader must be good at everything, and i said that isnt neccesary. Obviously certain traits (like those you mentioned above) are needed in a person otherwise they wouldnt make a great leader. At the risk of sounding big headed i think i would make a good leader (otherwise i wouldnt be making a tribe) but that said i would probably avoid making PnP as i dont really think it is neccesarily my "strong point", at least the traditional style of PnP on these forums. However, i didnt think EI represented himself badly is more what i was trying to say.

@godsman, i agree with you that when you are friends with people then it can be very fun and entertaining to mess around with each others profiles, village names and mail people funny things on each others accounts etc and i do it with the people i have gotten to know well on TW too, (Vp loves his profile jacking lol) but you and pervie know each other well and have played together many times in the past as im sure have many of your other tribe mates. However, if i were to sit your account i wouldnt feel comfortable messing around with your account unless i knew you well enough

like you said it is down to people own POV, which is why i try to respect that as much as possible and like i said i dont really think the wall has done anything wrong as per say, i was saying that personnaly i wouldnt have done it.

i think im starting to repeat myself now so i should probably stop talking :icon_razz:

Read the bolded.
You haven't had very much leadership experience have you ?

@NOOD, are you saying that unless you are a perfect individual you should not be a leader? everyone has different skill sets and one of the greatest skills of a manager is the ability to delegate, this is often done not just soley because of time constraints, but also because there are specialists in every area, the best leader is not the best player, the best person at PnP is not the best map maker, then again i think that was maybe expecting too much logic from you :icon_rolleyes:

Perhaps I should of made it more clear, I don't expect anyone to be perfect, but what I meant by it is that no leader should have any visible weakness.

Are you serious? Remember when you banned me from the tribe chat on Skype even though apparently I was the immature one? Get out of here, you are a joke. I hardly ever even mentioned noodles, maybe a few times in total out of my hundreds of posts, and they all would of been part of a joke.

Why would I be angry (mad basically refers to an animals anger, in such a way that they cant control it) about such a silly comment? The reason why I left the tribe is because you just joined, it could of been anyone else who was in your same situation that would of made me leave, normally.

Idk but isn't it ignorant to ignore the fact that one duke left and stated a new tribe, and he was the founding duke...... In my opinion that would make it a difficult situation for most anyone. Aside from possibly 2 or 3 people who are well renound for leading capabilities, even then the loyalties of people are strong rooted with the founder usually.

In before "I have enough to spare" comment.

If only I hadn't been gone at the moment of the post I may have beaten you to the punch.

As for this thread, I think it's dead. A thread about world politics may be fun, but this one seems especially based around Sensei's new leadership. Considering the tribe is now Gamer, and now slowly deteriorating, I think the subject should be forgotten before some god-awful flamefest is born. And before that flamefest comes to light, let me just say: The more that is said on the subject of Kebabe Vs EagleEye, the more stupid both of them look. In short, neither of you will win the argument, give it a rest.

Correct, but that fact would not have helped my argument, now would it?

Agreed. Hopefully Petert will finish up his cat nap and lock this thread.

Then would you also not have to concede that keeping it together, and maintaining the highest village average, with 24 members still ranked within the top 5 tribes of the world is a good job.

Not only would he be showing stability in what he does, but he would have created a tribe of loyal followers, people who will believe and act with him....

Im not too fond of looking at the past and claiming to know the present.
