WTF is going on with W2?!?!

Recently i've had examinations (A-level, how fun) so i havnt been very active on forums... As you know i quit W2 ages ago but i still like to pop in.
But, christ all mighty, in my absence Tribal Wars has turned into Tribal Mergers, What a joke....

And it was all triggered off by the rumours of StW/XiG merging...

I blame the Panda. Pandas are all about merges. With their black and white coats and their fancy shoes...


The last time I fell into the Panda pen, one of them tried merge with me. I shan't go into the details of my heroic escape. It's enough to say that I lost a really nice hat.

Pandas = The Borg.

Yea, peace sucks. Save it for RL. You're not gaining anything by making peace with one another, you're just... making peace. The point of this game is to grow big and strong, and with world peace, the biggest you can get is 12,335 points.

Now back on topic:

Yeah the recent merges have been a little strange, and do seem to be connected to the supposed StW/XIG merge. Practically the only big family tribe that hasn't merged yet is StW.

My point being that if everybody is at peace with everybody else, then there wouldn't be any villages for you to take over and grow, you'd be stuck with the one you start off with (which maxes out at 12,335 btw). Ergo, war is the only way to advance yourself in Tribalwars. too much tribal merging instead of tribal warring. unless of course you're content with picking up all the abandons.

Look, thats fine and dandy for a speech at the beginning of the world. But obviously most of us have gotten past that part. Now we are dealing with huge superpowers and their way of bettering their position before things get nuts are mergers.

The thing is, its how you do those. Some folks havnt stirred the waters too much (every merger stirs the water some) and then some others have made obviously BAD choices with such. Its those choices that will determine the next great war.

You think the peace gonna last forever? Then you're stupid, buddy. Practically all the world is pissed-off with TW. Wouldn't it be fun if XiG, StW and Aten ganged up against TW? That would be hell of alot of action. :icon_cool:

Still, I know some people in TW near me that I wouldn't want to attack. They wouldn't be there if not for the stupid merges.
 
Its one thing to merge, its another to work underhandedly to pull in as many members of an ally into your tribe Without talking to them whatsoever.

I like how you manage to contradict yourself in one post. I have seldom seen that level of illogic and poor writing. An abandoned village, by definition, does not have a player controlling it. You cannot attack a non-existent player. Moreover, a lot of them don't have any troops. Therefore, taking such a villlage hardly counts as "war." Now then, taking even a single such village automatically doubles your potential points to 24,670. Take another such village and you now have growth potential to 37,005. In other words, it is perfectly possible to grow beyond a single village without war.
