You misunderstand me. When you attack, you are limited to attacking with only the troops from the village. When you defend, you can defend with troops from any village.

If you have 2 mixed villages compared to an O village and a D village you have the same total number of defensive troops and through support either setup allows you to have the troops in any combination (defensively). Offensively on the other hand you're much weaker though.

But if the person is offline you can clear far more unstacked mixed villages than unstacked pure villages.
Sure if you get lucky and hit an O village you take little loss but hit a D village and it takes a couple of nukes.
Where most mixed vills can be killed with a nuke.

Then you stack your D even when you aren't under attack so if you get hit while offline it's the same as a regular setup.

Or you could just not build mixed villages in the first place.
