building spears with a baracks

i have been at war with a guy near me and have catapulted everything in his villages exept the warehouse and the resource buildings. i scouted him and he had HQ level 1 and no barracks 5 spears in the village that i killed and no troops outside his village. i scouted him again 15 minutes later and he has level 1 HQ no barracks and 10 spears with an incoming attack from that village! how is he producing the spears???

He still had spears queued. The barracks may be destroyed but the village will continue to produce spears. At a rate even lower then that of a lvl 1 barracks...

I remember a case where a barb vill kept producing cats about a month after the workshop was catted because of the sheer number of cats queued...
