if you updated, you can see it when you go to a pm with a contact

if you did not update, those who have can see when you were last on skype

when you realize the new skype update let's you see when people were last on skype

apparently the "last seen" function does NOT work correctly
it said my wife was last seen days ago WHILE I was video chatting with her
