Build troops and farm ( attack other players or barbian villages for recsourses )

Check for a range of guides for beginners, covering lot's of different aspects:

Note that they shouldn't be followed to the letter, as the main thing you will find about tribal wars is alot depends on luck, and adaptability. There is no 1 correct way to do anything, merely different techniques used by different players. You should try to learn as much as you can from each guide, each player, and form your own style based on the best bits of everything.

That being said, check out the guides for a starting point, and as this is your first world, expect to fail, seriously. But, learn from it, as much as you can, and next world, you will do far better.
