You don't need to post the same thing in every premade tribe thread, Pure Fire. There isn't any "No choosing starting direction" either, so it could be either way.

Im assuming that there is because its become a sort of default lately...

Well, Morthy decides the settings, and he seems to have said yes. I think its a safe bet you can choose your starting direction.
