It doesn't depend on your OD directly, it depends on how many troops your paladin kills, eg. he can gain experience stacking another players village.
Plus 6% of everyday you log in ofcourse.

No, it's based off of OD, not troops killed. If your pally was in a massively stacked village belonging to someone else that killed 50 nukes, you wouldn't have change in weapon %

Yeah.. I'd probably be around 50% if it was like that considering someone was bashing their head against my spike last night :3
