Start of World 84

World 84 will start on Thursday the 29th of October at around 10:00. Pre-registration is available now so you can secure your place and invite your friends. You can login to the world straight away to form your tribe and prepare for the world's start. When the world starts you will be placed near your tribe mates if you are in a tribe.

The world has a dominance based winning condition. Once a tribe reaches 70% dominance, the world will automatically close to registrations and the endgame phase will begin. At this point, restarts will be disabled. This will last for 90 days, after which automatic peace will come into effect and the world will end shortly after. Only one tribe can win the world. An allied win is not possible.

Additional premium features, such as build time reduction are enabled.

This world will use a new "Premium Exchange" feature instead of Premium Trading. Please scroll down for further information.

Dear players,

For the first time in our version, our new world will use a new system, called Premium Exchange. This will replace the premium trading, only in this world for now.

The main change is that you will no longer trade resources against premium with other players, but with an exchange, acting as a trader of sort. This should allow you to find fitting trades options at any time, rather than having to wait for a good proposal or waiting for yours to be accepted. It will be possible to use blocked premium points to trade with the Exchange against resources. Please note that the premium gained that way will be blocked for transfer for 60 days.

Here is an explanation of the system:

Exchange stock and capacity
There is one Premium Exchange for every continent. Every Exchange has its own capacity, indicating how many resources of each type it can hold. An Exchange's current stock and its capacity will determine the current rate for trading. Resources are traded at lower rates when the stock is full and the other way around. When an Exchange's stock is full, no more resources of that type may be sold to it. When an exchange's stock is empty, no more resources of that type can be bought from it.

Placing an order
You can enter trade orders into the "Buy" and "Sell" fields and see an estimate of how much they are worth, based on the resources' current rates.

Making a trade
When you place an order, the Exchange will suggest a trade to you, with matched values rounded up to the nearest full premium point. When you accept this offer, the resources will be transferred between you and the Exchange. Selling resources to the Exchange will require your village's merchants to ship the resources, while buying resources will use the Exchange's merchants. In both cases the delivery time will be the same.

Taxation and growth
When buying resources from the Exchange, a small portion of the proceeds will be put aside automatically to increase its capacity for the traded resource. Each day, Exchanges on adjacent continents will also shift around capacity and stock to mitigate differences in their trading rates.

If you have any question, don't hesitate to ask us!

Will this also have the new quest tree? (As on uk25 and elsewhere) Or will it stay with the previous one?

How long will it take for merchants to travel between the Exchange and players' village? So this exchange thing is kinda just like a middle man for premium trading?

The exchange is a way for innogames to withdraw a bit of PP out of the marketplace - theres a lot of PP floating around in coffers from everyone who has bought 1000s for startups, now Inno can reduce the amount of active PP by skimming some off the top of each transaction.

On the other hand, this should prevent the abuse of people getting their friends to start accounts, sell 1000/1 from the start, essentially allowing for legal pushing.

The premium exchange is AWESOME!!! I have been using it on .US It takes 1:37min for a merchant to make an exchange. This is a huge leg up for active farmers as the rates in early world are ~150res/1pp. They will balloon to ~400res/pp (which is still a good deal in my opinion).

Is the travel time to the premium exchange the same for everyone? Or is it a physical location in the middle of the continent, meaning the players close-by get an extraordinarly huge advantage?

So the settings list you put up says no churches, but the one on the pre reg screen says it does.

Which is it?

Single most misleading statement in TW history, and I literally mean from May, 2006 - ongoing. Yesterday atleast I saw the resources available jumping to 24 or 60 at times, where as today, I have checked it countless times, stared at it constantly for several minutes at a time. But havent seen the availability go above 0.

Yes, maybe total number of transactions[premmy vs ressies] being made is higher, however, I am certain the overall quantity is far lower than the old system. And the system while being used extensively by a few limited people, the large majority cant even find an offer when they look.

While this system do benefit people who dont want to play the world long time, instead, just want to farm premium points by selling ressies , and/or, completely depend on growth using premium points, basically 24/7 marketting[i.e refreshing market page] instead of farming or actually playing the game. It literally destroy the game for the people who want to play the world medium - long term; people who use premium trading to boost their normal gameplay or get certain edge instead of entirely depending on premium for their gains.

Instead of the quoted description, a more correct description of the new system would probably be - This new amazing system brings the joys and benefits of E-commerce to Medieval times, where people who depend on premium to get their resources, can simply make online payment to their clients without the use of merchants!!

Yep, you may die by the sword, but your money is safe with our brand new wireless transfer system. Seriously??????

Just call it TWSE.. -_-' ANd make the exchange page a wee bit more colorful.. Maybe like this.

And now, when all stocks of Premium Exchange are full, the ratio isn't 1k res for 1 PP, but only 850 res for 1 PP.

All of the feedback is rather negative, the system is unwieldy and would spark people to sell resources for pp out of the game rather than just trade as is.

If the idea was to remove a slight amount of pp from circulation, an "offer tax" of one pp per trade would have yielded better results I think. Just one pp from the buyer vanishing. Or a percentage. 5% or so but that might be equally bad.
