Why are W2 Forums inactive?

This question has troubled the minds of many intelligent people for past few months. It is a question with no answer. But I believe I have found a set of reasons which can be the reason for this inactivity.


1) People dont give a damn- yES people dont give a damn about these forums. There used to be a time when these forums were active but now people are just too lazy to waste their time posting something on these forums. The answer to this problem is counseling. If counseling can be done for birth-control then it is possible here as well:icon_razz:.

2) Lack of controversies- Controversies create activity. Lately we have had no controversies which can lighten up these forums. Controversies do create activty. Best example is when steve got bashed for creating Hot. But the increase in activity wasnt so high since steve as the only guy getting bashed. If we had more people getting bashed activity would have been more

3) No time- People have no time. It is the reason which most people give. But in the end they spend that time clicking little buttons which are named attack.


4) Oppression of Mods- Oppresion of mods is a very good reason. We have seen people like .siv stop posting becauses all his posts got deleted. It seems the mods dont want to laugh. Is laughing the cure for tribalwars.

5) Bribing by Mods- I believe this can be the best reason. Lately we had only few members posting here. Now w2 has some 820 players(maybe its more or less who cares anyway) out of that only some 10 guys post here. It seems these 10 people have escaped the corruption done to these w2 forums. I believe a lot of the posters here have been bribed by mods not to post here. The reason for bribing is their work load will decrease. I believe this is the best reason



Anyway thank you for wasting your 5 min in reading my thrash. Now you can spent another 5 min replying here. You dont have to thank me for creating another pointless thread

But what I belive is the reason to why w2 has clamed down is that many of the old times posters is gone from world 2 and has either quite playing or gone to newer world. Left is the few quite players, that is playing for numbers instead of chatting on the forum.

Also is nothing written here going to change the worlds politics so arguing over it by former players (wich was done during some times) has stopped and the forumtrools has also gone forward to other words.

But what I belive is the main reason is that this world now has 4 large powers (TW, ATEN, HOT and MPX) and that the present politics in this world is clear to all and not before the year long wars that is going on at this moments ends in any way no one seems to se the need to try to do anything here.

There aren't enough tribes, players or unknown information to provide any kind of mass stimulus of anticipation, suspense or interest. Every single possible outcome is already common knowledge, and there's nothing that can happen right now except the ending of the war, which would only mean inactivity, and is even more boring.

W22 regular forum poster here, I'm giving my 2c.
The reason is probably as mentioned there is just one long war, and only 3 real tribes with any power. W1 is just as sleepy, the sole reason its still active is because of more tribes and the Iceman saga :icon_rolleyes:

Forums go inactive commonly for these reasons:
-Not much to talk about
-The population being 'over' forums
-Large amount of blocked/banned players
-Bored players
-Mass-inactivity in game

Some reasons, but not all.

Once again this is my 2c, I know nothing about W2 politics so pl0x don't flame :icon_redface:

I agree with that. Why would I want to even read the forums if I get an infraction for calling DC a cheater (he did get banned and got a punishment for it).

Besides, the only thing that has been going on these days (except for the barbie threads) is flaming. You sort of get tired of it.

I'd say the reason why people arent posting is because there are no new wars.
Nothing exciting. Nothing changing.
All thats happening is wars that will take forever to finish.
TW vs the rest of the world.

If some tribes left their families, and made new diplomacy... then the activity would spike.
Until then... it will continue war as usual.

I got an infraction for asking if barbie liked cooled ice. We were talking about the biggest and most player on w2 and her politics (not you ice)
But I am surprised I didnt get the infraction for talking about barbies pets(unicors and stuff), pokemon and barbies princes. Makes me wonder if mods are against love:icon_confused:. Love is certainly the cure to TW:icon_razz:

I'd say they were inactive because people don't want to come on here, and be flamed for needless reasons by, FUNNILY enough, YOU, the people who wonder why it's so inactive.
Perhaps if you were a little nicer to the newcomers, and didn't start silly arguements, then people would actually enjoy coming on here.

Not only this, but the World only has a few strong powers, which makes things a little more boring. There is usually only 1 war, because Tribes are scared to declare on one-another incase someone else decides to seize the moment and jump on the band-wagon and then it turns into 2-3 Tribes on the 1 Tribe and such. Not to mention, some players are scared to attack other, bigger players in fear of being rimmed. Therefore, there are no no wars starting, which has a big impact on the Forums.

As for the Mod's ruining them:
We aren't here to spoil fun. We are here to make sure there is no wrong-doing. If this Forum didn't have people to Moderate them, then there would be very little posts that people will actually read. Too many people will become offended by others, and people will make posts that are just nonesense.
If you don't do anything wrong, then you won't receive any infractions. If you feel any of the infractions are wrong, then feel free to contact an Elder to see if they feel the same, and they will be removed. But I think you guys just need to stop, and think about what you're posting. Will it offend anyone or not?

As for what it is... Us mods have guidelines (=the rules) we need to follow when moderating.

Lets make a couple of notes here...

1) .siv.'s joke-thread contained more sexual jokes than a regular porn-site. And InnoGames have taken the decision to make the forum PG13. If you don't like it, there's plenty of forums without or with very few rules out there.

2) Arthas, you have gotten about 40 infractions for insulting/inappropriate language from atleast 10 different moderators, including the Forum Admin (Lord Haste). Call me biased if you wish, but I think that quite clearly indicates it's no isolated incident or overreacting mods but rather that you just refuse to learn.

3) The biggest reason the forums have died is that none of those that actually did the PnP before, such as Lokinder, Frankish, Mr.Sinister, Asterios, Congo and so on is no longer around. Ain't seeing nobody in any tribe on W2 atm that's known to do good PnP. That's just how it is. It'll ultimately happen to all the worlds in the end.

well basically, mods do think the "are better" or "know" more then the rest here. being a mod doesn't make you genius, it just shows that you have extra free time in your real life and that you can speak English as a Mexican.

about sivs sexual jokes. well what is wrong with sex? lol, i love it, we all do. so?
yes i know, some are young here, but shit if they are good, then by age of 15 they know what that is.

I was one of the people who did not agree with the mods but if you think about it they were right.
Whether they know it by the age of 15 or not it doesn't make a difference. Innogames has regulations to follow and so do we.

the real problem with this forums isnt really any of this posts here.
it is simple, when we started w2, we needed only like 1 min to maintain our villas, then 10, then 30 mins.
now, i need a vacation if i wanna mass attack someone. you know how long it takes me to send 1000 real attacks? i can watch whole season of house by the time i send so many attacks. now here is your real problem, accounts got to big, and no challenge in this game anymore. they should invent some new stuff for this stage of a game. cause this game play now is only deja vu after deja vu.

All your life you have been controlled, and you will continue to be under control unless you do something about it (like breaking the regulations). TW regulations are not that different from RL regulations. They share the same purpose.
