Dear players,

A new small update will be released on Monday, the 27th of April, between 10:00 and 11:00.

The update contains small bugfixes and changes to the quickbar.

As usual, the worlds will be unavailable for a couple minutes during the update.

Changes to quickbar:

To improve the loading speed of the game for players with a lot of scripts in their Quick Bar, we will be making some changes in the way that it operates.

- The overall quickbar size limit of 65kb has been removed.
- Instead, each entry has been limited to 10k characters. If you have scripts with over 10k characters, they will be deleted. A warning was sent a couple of weeks ago to affected players.
- This change will reduce the download size of each page load by up to 50% for some players.

In addition to this, please be aware that in the future scripts loaded remotely (e.g. from another server) must be loaded via a https:// link. An update in the next couple of months will make it so that newly added Quick Bar scripts will not be able to load anything from http:// links. After a further grace period, existing scripts will also cease to work.

If this kills your fake script, you probably were faking like a moron anyway.

You can fit over 1.2k coordinates into a fake script and still have characters left over from the 10k limit.

How to fake in 3 steps>
1: go to map
2: click on attack on the guy to fake
3: select 1 ram+1 scout in troops and send attack.

Sending fakes like a pro since 1947.

What does this mean below. It has me concerned. Does that mean I can't save my scripts on a server anymore and use a loader script. I have to load the whole thing in quickbar? That is freakin stupid if that is the case.

You'll have to host the scripts on a server capable of serving the scripts via https.

forgive me but what the heck is https as opposed to http. I just host my stuff on a free german server. kilu.net is where I host them.

It's 2015 and people still don't know how to use Google.

Fairly disappointed... Here

Is it likely to see staff crack down on script makers in the future? I don't like where this is supposedly heading.

If all useful scripts will be integrated into premium features, then that won't be the end of the world.

No crack down. External scripts will just have to be served over a secure connection in order for them to work. Nowadays this is easy to do for free using something like Dropbox or Cloudflare. You'll also be able to use Let's Encrypt when it launches if you're more technically minded.

It seems there are problems using any hosted script from the quickbar since this update including those hosted via https

Welp there goes thousands of tw users...goodjob innogames. Only a few scripts work soon and soon none will work. Whats next? Doubling the price of PP:(

8.33.4 the update that killed tw for me:(
Only scripts with 10k char+ in the edit bar won't work. Scripts that are 10k char and are linked aren't going to disappear. All people will have to do is host their scripts on different sites, which is abysmally easy to do.

If this update, that practically changes nothing for the player, makes you leave then good riddance. One less crybaby to endure.
