Guides/Tips

New to tribal wars 4.0?
insanity202 on 11.01. at 15:19 Quote
Then heres a big tip!!
Get a barracks and a few troops and you can start farming Barbarian villages as they have no troops and the added bounus of not haveing the 5 day protection!!
kostyah on 11.01. at 15:37 Quote
actually, isn't it only the bonus villages that build no troops? I thought barbarian did build them.
insanity202 on 11.01. at 15:47 Quote
nope they only build whats going to give them the most points so there perfect for farming :D
kostyah on 11.01. at 15:53 Quote
ah,perfect than.
now just got to stay ahead of my human neighbors...
insanity202 on 11.01. at 15:55 Quote
now thats the hard part!! you got to stay one step a head.
kilerguy3031 on 11.01. at 15:55 Quote
Well some villages do build troops because people already have stats in the OD rankings, and since the noob protection is still going that means that the troops have to come from the bonus or the barbarian villages.
insanity202 on 11.01. at 15:57 Quote
This world is the same as world 13 and trust me they dont build troops only buildings BUT this does include the wall so you have to be carfull. I'm already farming the ones close to me for resorces.
Phonixfire on 11.01. at 21:41 Quote
Barbarian villages don't build troops, but abandoned ones do.

Confusing =]
Talcronizen today at 00:12 Quote
i've been playing on W13 and neither the barbarian or the abandoned villages have troops being built. The only way you can lose your troops by attacking these villages is if they have walls built up. Otherwise if an actual player abandons a village of course they could still have leftover troops in their village that might get you if you don't scout and prepare first.

Starter village
Up to 500 points:

Focus on getting your resources, if you're not getting attacked, which you probably wont because you'll be one of the largest players around, don’t build any troops yet. If you do get attacked, build a few spears and a wall.

Upgrade until you have the following, starting with resources, headquarters and warehouse, after that build the farm upgrade, the barracks, the wall and the market.

Village Headquarters (Level 5)
Barracks (Level 1)
Rally point (Level 1)
Market (Level 1)
Timber camp (Level 17)
Clay pit (Level 17)
Iron mine (Level 17)
Farm (Level 4)
Warehouse (Level 14)
Hiding place (Level 4)
Wall (Level 5)

500-600 points:
Slow points gain in this period, focus on building your defense. This order worked best for me:

1) Upgrade barracks to level 5, farm to level 6.
2) Build a smithy
3) Research swords
4a) build 400 swords and 400 spears
4b) while the unit queue gets bigger and bigger, upgrade barracks to level 10 and do some farm upgrades.

Village Headquarters (Level 5)
Barracks (Level 10)
Smithy (Level 1)
Rally point (Level 1)
Market (Level 1)
Timber camp (Level 17)
Clay pit (Level 17)
Iron mine (Level 17)
Farm (Level 11)
Warehouse (Level 14)
Hiding place (Level 4)
Wall (Level 5)

600-1000 points:
Now its time to start farming other villages, to do so the best we can use is light cavalry. Build in the following order:

1) Clay and wood to level 20
2) Iron and warehouse to level 18
3) Build more defense until you have 1.5 per point again (you should have some spare iron)
4) Upgrade HQ to level 10, then smithy to level 5
5) Build stables and upgrade to level 3
6) Research scouts and light cavalry
7) Build 100 scouts and start scouting the villages around you, 3 at a time max, with max 20 scouts so you leave 40 scouts at home. put the names of villages without troops or with very little troops in your notebook
Build 35 light cavalry; start attacking the villages you wrote down with all 35 cavalry at a time.
9a) from the resources you steal, build more cavalry
9b) from the resources you generate, build your wall up to level 15.

At 1000 points your village should look like this:

Village Headquarters (Level 10)
Barracks (Level 10)
Stables (Level 3)
Smithy (Level 5)
Rally point (Level 1)
Market (Level 1)
Timber camp (Level 20)
Clay pit (Level 20)
Iron mine (Level 18)
Farm (Level 16)
Warehouse (Level 18)
Hiding place (Level 4)
Wall (Level 15)

1000-2000 points:
In this stage we are going to get ready for warfare. We'll build up our resources to a point where we have a stable income. The sequence:
1) Build HQ to level 20
2) Build market to level 10
3) Wood and clay to level 24
4) Iron to level 22
5) make sure you have about 1400 swords and 1400 spears at the end, best start building spears first so you can save some iron for swords
6) Also make sure you have around 500 scouts

At 2000 points, your village looks like:

Village Headquarters (Level 20)
Barracks (Level 10)
Stables (Level 3)
Smithy (Level 5)
Rally point (Level 1)
Market (Level 10)
Timber camp (Level 24)
Clay pit (Level 24)
Iron mine (Level 22)
Farm (Level 22)
Warehouse (Level 18)
Hiding place (Level 4)
Wall (Level 15)

2000-3000 points:
This is the final growing stage for the first village. Most important feature is building the smithy.

1) Upgrade iron to level 24
2a) research axmen
2b) upgrade warehouse to level 20
3a) start building 500 axe men minimum
3b) upgrade smithy to level 20
4) make sure you have about 350 light cavalry
5) make sure you have 750 scouts
6) Get up to 2000 swords and 2000 spears.

Village Headquarters (Level 20)
Barracks (Level 10)
Stables (Level 10)
Smithy (Level 20)
Rally point (Level 1)
Market (Level 12)
Timber camp (Level 24)
Clay pit (Level 24)
Iron mine (Level 24)
Farm (Level 22)
Warehouse (Level 20)
Hiding place (Level 4)
Wall (Level 15)

That guide was made for world 10. If you followed it, you'd be behind everybody who doesn't follow it. As for the branches, I was in KOF for the first two days. We were number two, and then the next day we were number 6. I was the only one gaining points, while others were inactive. It's annoying, and family tribes are full of noobs. I hate answering obvious questions.

Actually I know this guide from W2 before W10 even opened, but I don't like this guide anyway it's says until 500 be a good farming target :) probably the person who posted this guide at first knew what he was doing:icon_smile:

What I meant to say it applies mainly to world 10, because of its speed.
