that is in no way a pointwhore... I believe in tribalwars the definition of a pointwhore is somebody who builds up villages and nobles more without building troops of course needing to get nobles and some escorts but spare none else. A turtle is not a pointwhore if they have troops...there is a big difference between a turtle or barb/internal nobler and a pointwhore.

No, you should evaluate point-whores based on how they use their points... Seems pretty self-explanatory. Considering Hymn was far from ever being greedy with the troops resulting from his large number of points, I think you should reevaluate.

The term point-whore is a stupid one to begin with, and there are multiple ways to interpret it. If yours is different from mine, then it's really not worth arguing over. But I just want to be clear: In my opinion, your interpretation is wrong.

In my opinion, point-whores do one of two things, they either 1) don't make troops at all or 2) don't use the troops that they do make for anything productive. Since Hymn did neither of these things, I really don't see where bmf gets off calling him a point-whore.

Well, Jack, I think our opinion's of awesome differ.

Of Hymn's 448 village conquers, 363 of those villages were barbs, internals, or tribeless players. Might be good for WIN!- but not by any standard that people take seriously. :icon_redface:

For starters: yes I read all the other stuff that came after this, but it pretty much stemmed from this comment, so this is what I'm responding to.

I actually didn't know that Hymn was such a barb nobler.. stats like were certainly not accumulated by just 1 or even 2 of the players. In light of this info (sorry about not looking it up for myself), I retract my previous statement, and am going to go with.. Players 1 and 2 were not TOTAL idiots; player 3 was awesome, despite being handed an account that was 95% defensive, he made the most of it and was a strong leader and all around quality player. Player 4 was a total idiot.

Fair enough?

I'll let you guys argue about whether he WAS a point whore or not - I'm just here to defend Joey's (player 3) good name.

i dont agree with what player 4(sabre) did in the end with the hymn account, but to call the guy and idiot is a bit rough.

he was a good player.
he was a good to talk to.

but in saying that,

im not sure if everyone knew, but his son was and is still very ill. now to even find time to play with someone as sick as his kid and also looking after the rest of his family is quite a feat on its own. so can we stop bashing him on this forum, its not fair at all.

I know this is dragging it out a bit now but its just to prove the point...

61 internals+ 20 from the tribe LOSE!(I assume they were not fought for as they were once in Punch!)

98 barbs

58 tribeless

497 total conquers, this excludes reconquers since it seems you have a high amount of them(45)

your total internal/barb/tribeless count is 237/497=.476 so .48 rounded.

81 internals from win! 56 from Pluto 2 from Patron

430 total gains, this excludes 18 reconquers

Hymm total internal/barb/tribeless count is 367/430=.853 or .85 rounded.

So yes his count is high but yours by far isn't anything to brag about either nor is mine even...I'll even do mine(granted the account hasn't been active for more than a month now so my conquers are a bit lower than they should be...but oh well haha

My total internal/barb/tribeless count is 217/329=.659 or rounded .66

I could also go into detail about the fact that I hold a higher defense ranking(even with a month of inactivity) than you and have only lost a total of 6 villages to an enemy tribe while you have lost 19 villages to enemy players(I excluded other tribemates nobling villages as most times those are gifted)

Does that make you a bad player? No it doesn't yet I can bring it up and make people think it makes you bad.

I can even say that Hymm has lost less villages than you(11 excluding tribemates) and has a higher ODD then myself and you combined...we must both be bad right? :icon_redface: lol

The point I am making is that you can't just go off the pure statistics of the villages people noble. Its about how they use their troops and how well they play the game. If they internal noble alot does it really matter? as long as they can whip your butt with those villages then thats the important part...

There would have been a lot of circumstances in which what he did would have been cool with me. Sudden emergencies being the most obvious. I'm sorry to hear about his son, but it doesn't exactly sound sudden. I'm not saying he should sacrifice time with his family or sick son.. not one bit.. what I AM saying is that he was GIVEN the account by our tribe.. so it's not like he was unaware that we do in fact possess the technology to transfer accounts to new owners.. and he was steadily running the account into the ground (more or less..) until he decided to just delete it. Sorry, that's idiocy - maybe not PUNCH! level idiocy, but still lower than our standards.

Turtling, barb nobling, and that rate of internals/free villages (81% of Hymn's total caps

), are what point-whores do. I didn't say that he was the worst player on this world-

- I called him the biggest point-whore- and I provided evidence supporting my claim. My fact and logic vs Gangly and Mills "facts are stupid, let judge Hymn based on things that are completely irrefutable, like him being a good person" :icon_redface:

uh muxdaddy earned my respect for defending one of his PA's who i was attacking even though they were listed as enemy. for that he is one of my favorites and most respected

most annoying player i got rid of a long time ago. his name was tom something and i messaged him to stop nobling barbs around me and he gave me a couple rude replies. they were unnecessary as all i did was ask him to stop.

Only one tribe has annoyed me and it was B-S but now there are no annoying tribes really.
