CND was in a war with C² and ended up merging into them. The reasons for this merger were mutual respect, activity problems, and recognition of the futility of continuing a war that was deadlocked (in random order).

Good point, they were in XVI even during the war, and last time I checked a bunch of them are still around and kicking some serious ass. I think W36 is still open (can someone confirm this?), so you can easily get in touch with them there.
