Differnce between abandoned and barbarian

What is the difference between abandoned and barbarian villages?

I am looking on the internet. One person says that barbarian villages grow troops - another says no. One person say abandoned villages have the troops left over another says it is empty.

Can someone tell me what is true.

What EXACTLY is the difference? Is there any more risk to attacking a barbarian versus an abandoned village?

An abandoned village is in effect a barbarian village. They are the same thing. However the method used to be a barbarian matters. Some barbarians are randomly placed in by the system to make farming and growth and future targets easier. Barbarians that are formed from inactive/quitting players will have the troops that were previous in the village. But the normal barbarian villages do not grow troops.
