Discussion: Holiday attack breaks and support unavailability

Hi everyone,

As usual we'll be having attack breaks over the Christmas and New Year holidays. The details are as follows:

Christmas holidays

From 00:00 on the 24th of December to 00:00 on the 27th of December, any attacks that arrive at villages will turn into visits. They will not do any damage.

From 18:00 on the 24th of December to 06:00 on the 26th of December, you will be prevented from sending any attacks.

The attack break affects both attacks on barbarian villages and player owned villages. Should any other locations appear on the map, please note that they can be attacked during the break.

Our support team will be unavailable on the 24th, 25th and 26th of December. It will still be possible to send in tickets, but you should not expect any replies.

New year's holidays

From 00:00 on the 31st of December to 00:00 on the 2nd of January, any attacks that arrive at villages will turn into visits. They will not do any damage.

From 10:00 on the 31st of December to 10:00 on the 1st of January, you will be prevented from sending any attacks.

Does this means i will have to go OUTSIDE, and meet real people? This is so excitin.

As the Winter Event is not mentioned at all, would I be right in saying that the buffs would continue as now?

Steel merchants qualify as 'other villages appearing on the map.'

You may continue to activate tombola winter event buffs during the attack break. However, I recommend not activating a buff that gives increased attack strength. :xmas wink:

So if someone decides to scout us, are we able to kill their scouts? Or would they be able to get away with the intel?

When you say "From 00:00 on the 24th of December to 00:00 on the 27th of December" I hope you mean from 00:00:01 on the 24th till 00:00:01 on the 27th, because I read a previous statement of Innogames that said the break will end at 00:00:01 on the 27th, but it didnt state about the actual start time.

That doesn't answer my question which is: From which second does the holiday break starts? 00:00:00 or 00:00:01

Based on my research it should be from 00:00:01, but i wanted a conformation.

If you are confused, regardless of the time on the clock, just go by the calendar date.
The following calendar dates, attacks just visit: Dec 24-25-26, Dec31, Jan01. Five days. :xmas biggrin:

So that means an attack arriving at December 26, 23:59.999 would be a visit, but one arriving at December 27, 00:00.000 would be an actual attack. Because the picture doesn't include the 27th at all.
We wouldn't want our attempts to clear out our farms as early as possible to turn into accidental visits.

I'd go with 00:00:01, if only just as a precaution.
