Update to version 8.29

Dear players,

Our new update will be released on Monday, the 24th of November, between 11:00 and 12:00.

The changes mostly concerns your friends list, options for account sitting and options displayed in the tribe member list.
As usual, the worlds will be unavailable for a couple minutes during the update.


Changes

• Map: A briefly animated circle will now indicate what village you centered the map on, to aid orientation.
• Friends: You will now be notified when a friend has a birthday.
• Friends: A ranking of your friends is now visible in your friends list.
• Account Sitting: The account owner can now choose new limitations when establishing an account sitter. Please remember to be extremly careful when establishing an account sitting, as it can still damage your account (to your own responsibility) even with the new limitations.
  The following limitations can be established:
  • Access to tribe
  • Access to mails
  • Allowed to send attack
  • Allowed to send support
• Simulator: A link can be given to share the result of a simulation to others.
• Tribe: It is now possible to gift a Premium Account, Account Manager or Loot Assistant to tribe-mates from the Tribe Member screen. Players can choose whether to share their Premium subscription status on that screen or not.
• Settings: An option to reset the game options to the default status has been added.
• Command Sharing: A "select all" button has been added for command sharing.
• Account Manager: The "select all" button from the Account Manager - Troops is now on top of the list.
• Account Manager: The description of the stockpile distributor has been improved (it runs a couple of times a day).
• Rally Point: A new column showing "distance" has been added to the Rally point "troops in other villages" screen.
• Daily Achievements: While in the top position for a certain day's achievement, you'll now be able to see what score the 2nd best player has.
• Market: You can now accept or delete your own offers in the "all own offers" screen.
• Market: The amount of offers per page can be configured
• Market: A "previous" link has been added to the send resources option
• Market: You will no longer lose your spot when accepting an offer
• A confirmation pop-up is displayed when re-stationing the paladin.
• A preview button has been added to war declarations.
• We made it possible to purchase the Account Manager as gift/item for someone else even if the requirement for its activation are not met by the purchaser. Please be aware that like with transferring points, there are certain restrictions in place on gifting.
• The subscriptions pages, as well as the subscription advantages pages for the Premium options have been improved
• Bug fixes

This sounds like an amazing update, includes a lot of small fixes to improve existing features, many of which have been suggested by us, the players. Great work on taking our feedback and implementing what appear to be valuable updates.

Just a small concern with the quoted feature; are these restrictions enabled by default or must you check boxes to activate them? I fear a lot of villages could be lost and accounts destroyed because a newer or absent-minded player sends his sit while under fire and you cannot snipe/block/recap/defend with the account because they previously checked the boxes at one point, or they are automatically activated and must be un-activated. Already run into this issue with sitting, player goes away for 2-3 weeks, leaves PP to renew his subscription (or you transfer in yourself) only to find that they forgot to allow sitters to activate subscriptions, and then their account dies. Can we have a bit of explanation on how these sitter restrictions work?

• Simulator: A link can be given to share the result of a simulation to others. Like this idea not sure how it looks in practice...
• Tribe: It is now possible to gift a Premium Account, Account Manager or Loot Assistant to tribe-mates from the Tribe Member screen. Players can choose whether to share their Premium subscription status on that screen or not. Why would you want to show if you can show that you have premium or not? Not really sure the purpose of that.
• Settings: An option to reset the game options to the default status has been added. Which default status?
• Command Sharing: A "select all" button has been added for command sharing. Love that idea would make it easier for trusting tribes.
• Account Manager: The "select all" button from the Account Manager - Troops is now on top of the list. I know alot of people just jumped for joy lol.
• Account Manager: The description of the stockpile distributor has been improved (it runs a couple of times a day). Will have to read it but I still say it needs its own dynamic organization.
• Rally Point: A new column showing "distance" has been added to the Rally point "troops in other villages" screen. nice
• Daily Achievements: While in the top position for a certain day's achievement, you'll now be able to see what score the 2nd best player has. About time.
• Market: Have to sum up the question of ALL the market ones with...are we going to get the ability to change our default market page.

This is what it looks like on beta currently. Whatever is ticked and saved before the sit - is enabled.

The point of being able to show if you have premium or not is because now it is giftable from that screen. Players will be able to see, with your permission, if you have those premium subscriptions or not which might make a more generous person decide to gift you! However you might not want this information revealed so it is optional to share.

It is possible to gift premium account and account manager.There are no requirements for activating premium account therefore this was just explaining how it is still possible to gift Account Manager to a friend who does not have the requirements to activate it.
