The tribe ranking changes I would consider irrelevant as that is mainly influenced via recruitment not ennoblements. Ennoblements alone would not have caused those changes

As I had said, recruitment is the main cause of the rank changes no losing the war or a halt in expansion as even those wouldn't have such a large affect. But keep beating on your chest if it makes you feel all big and bad. You guys and your bragging is getting quite boring

So you're saying that the war has had little effect on FEMA, that recruitment/dismissal is the only real significant reason a tribes growth line is affected? That's ridiculous!

While ennoblements/month are small compared to the total sizes of tribes, they do have an effect. For example, players leaving the tribe due to bad morale. Perhaps a player was thinking about quitting, and the extra time they have to spend tagging against thousands of attacks pushes them over the edge.

i have to say some of those FEMA barbs arent for naught.
Justice111, who has 4 barb conquers in that list, nobled barbs that used to belong to Nizzeg, who quit after we made him lose 100k when we started to attack him. They are also on the frontlines, so they do gain advantage.

I know that noone has said anything about barbs in this topic yet, but i just wanted to clear that up for those who will say it in the future.

I did not miss your reasoning, i answered it with my post.
Recruitment / Dismissal as the main cause of rank changes: Oots. recruited Gelu Barbarul, however, how many people have FEMA dismissed (or have people left), how many of these occasions are a direct result of the war?
Off the top of my head, Shadowbuzo, Therin, Chut!, Slippy88, ChaoticDNA, Nicedoggy...

On top of this, think of those who have quit probably as a direct result of the war? Braveheartwallace, Wisiti, Shadowzilla...

It's the war that has stopped FEMA's growth, it's the war that has made people quit, it's the war that has made people LEAVE. And according to your reasoning, its the "tribe changes" (recruitment isn't appropriate on its own) that have caused Tribal rank changes, well they are due to the war.

About "Chest beating" there isn't really any chest beating in this thread to speak of other then perhaps Suko Sevato, but he isn't even in DNY. I posted stats, as did Chuzzle, If that's chest beating then so is Blads thread.

Barbs are villages too. I took a bunch in K33 (my frontline) when Shadowzilla went barbarian (I had launched before he was banned). Just as I took 3 of them there were long range trains inbound from back rank low-point Fema-ers.

Now, instead of having to fight through low morale and use nukes to eliminate an annoyance I've done it preemptively.

The problem with barbs is when they serve no strategic purpose (aka they are in your backyard) or when they are strategically useless (under 2000 points)

Taizu and I are saying the reason behind the changes in the ranks is through people leaving and joining, and the ennoblements are the reason behind those movements in the first place!

Perhaps you should read through what Taizu said again, too.
