First world embarrassments

What ridiculous and embarrasing acts did everyone get up to on their first world? My first was world 19 K11 and I was promoted to diplomat in the 'Joeys' tribe soon after joining. I made alliances with every tribe on the continent and all surrounding continents. This wasn't too bad at first but natural expansion made it a nightmare after a couple of weeks. My then duke (pleased by my work securing the tribe as diplomat) then promoted me to be the main recruiter also. I approached that job with similar vigour and made my way down from the top of the 'players' list, inviting everyone who was greater than or level with the lowest of my tribemates in points, regardless of location. My tribe reached the 40-man limit within dayss. By the time I had left that world my supreme over-zealousness had produced a 7-tribe family and when I sat an account in the family one month later they had 9 tribes in the family. My heart was in the right place lol

5:1 ratio of buildings to troops.

I've never played Sim City.

My first world I was head diplomat. I let my leaders of one of the top alliance be talked into a 'Super Alliance' with four other smaller tribes.

You can guess what happened when five tribes who have been at odds with one another since the beginning tried to merge. Not really my fault, but I enthusiastically supported the idea.

I have a few:

1) Researching all units in the Smithy to Level 1 on a 15 level tech world.
2) Recruiting at least 1 of each unit in my 1st village. I thought Cats would be really cool to have.
3) Learning there is a difference between offensive and defensive troops. In response to finally realizing someone was attacking me, is that what the cross swords are in the upper right part of my screen, I figured Axe were bigger than Spear and recruited those.

I had time before the attacks landed and a friend set me straight including telling me to dodge the Nukes. 1st off, what is a Nuke (#4)? Secondly, what do you mean dodge (#5)?

I actually survived the attack, smacked up the guys train and went on to almost 6M points in the #1 tribe before giving the account to someone else. I was just grateful I had players willing to help me learn :)

1st world was w6... I joined a tribe. The leader left, and I took over. (this is in K 90, and I could see the edge of the world to the south AND to the left) well, someone in my tribe betrayed me, and took my main vill. onoez! I built this uber awesome sp. army. I could farm AND attack with it, eh? :p It was 2k sp. :icon_cool:

Then I pissed off some 1mil+pt.s guy

From a similar thread in the general section:

lol, just about everyone was a noob at one time and did nooby things.

The first time I ever had an incoming in this game, it was incoming support as part of a tripwire setup by the tribe I had just joined. I wasn't sure if it was an attack or not. lol

My other biggest noob moment was later in the same world. I screwed up my timing and landed a nuke after the last noble of my attack. That noble was escorted by a full d village. It was an epic battle, and my nuke won out (by about 100 LC). The saddest thing about that, though, was that was part of a war operation, and the OD I got for attacking myself (I got both ODA and ODD for that blunder) was more than any OD I earned actually fighting the tribe we were at war with.

Also, another one I forgot was sort of like my mishap with the nuke, only I wasn't the one nobling the villages. Luckily, my tribe mate didn't have many troops in the village when my mistimed nuke hit.

Oh, I've mistimed many.

Just mistimed another one today, as a matter of fact. (clicked the wrong village from the notebook)

I've just never cleared an entire d village worth of my own troops since that one time.

My computer spazzed, and my supporting village was closer to the target.

End result - Support landed just before the nuke/noble train. :|

Let someone talk me into believing that you're supposed to attack your tribemates. :|

When I first heard about a nobel train I sent 8 nobels in one attack without bothering to clear the village,
Not a good end result :icon_redface:, for me at least

My first world world 14 I was a diplomat right off the bat then merged half our tribe into another tribe then lead the most inactive group of noobs you will ever see. Then we merged into the main tribe and I say merged lightly because no one else was active enough to come over. But that tribe wasnt any better as no one in the entire tribe knew what a nuke was. It was a fail world...

Oh and I nobled my own village twice

My funnest world was world 28 though because every time I turned around I had betrayed some body or somebody had betrayed me

I betrayed my duke to a bigger tribe and took over the tribe
I betrayed that tribe to an even bigger tribe
Then I tried to betray that tribe to a same size tribe
Then my co duke betrayed my butter to the even bigger tribe
I then nobled a village on the rim and became a duke of a academy tribe their
I then betrayed the leader of that tribe and killed him
Then the even bigger tribe that sent me to the rim found me
Then i betrayed them to the Biggest tribe
Then the tribe I betrayed on the rim turned around and betrayed me
Then I became a point basher for the biggest tribe in the world after nobling a village in the core.
I then betrayed the even bigger tribe tell i got bored

It was a fun world
