5 seems a tad small for something that lasts a couple months... Speed? Fine. HP needs to be at least 15. 20 is probably more my preference however.

By unit speed 1.3 do you mean over all? Or that * the 3. Because that's a tad crazy fast in my opinion. Wouldn't want it over 2... (So .66 for speed 3.)

I did mean 3 x 1.3, I'm a big fan of faster troop movements. Its still more than enough time to react to anything.
Smaller tribes make for a more enjoyable world imho, but yeh maybe 5 is a bit low. Something like 10 would probably do the trick
