About a year ago I discovered GIMP while playing TW. Over the past year I have been learning how to make Sigs, Avys and COAs. Here are my nubby works displayed for all to see. I feel that I have improved over this past year as I have learned newer techniques and the various functions found in GIMP.

I like to make simple sigs that are suppose to fit the forum regulations and not have to be in a spoiler. Sigs are meant to pop out on the page, not be hidden behind a spoiler. :icon_redface: (edit: I like spoiler ones too :p)

These sigs are somewhat ordered from past to present :icon_wink:

yeah it warns you about that =D i have windows7 and have the multibackground thing... changes every 10 seconds... i got 3476 pictures as background =D (i lost my life there for a few days)

I see all the amazing sigs in this section and how most of them are bigger than the standard 80px height. They look amazing and obviously have multiple layers to them. I usually have the render/stock and maybe a layer of gradient or effex and then the text. I went and created a spoiler sig using a stock that I found was great. All I really did was add a border(went with the widescreen look), text(with an added drop shadow) and scanlines. No where close to those using shop or some other program but I am happy with it :)

Tell me what you think

To me, the text seems to stand out too much?

Yes, the text is stands out too much and is a bit plain. Instead of a full white maybe color it with a hint of orange or yellow/green and a larger, more legible font?
