lol. To be in the top for the first week takes alot of work... I don't really care very much, I can make up for it when nobles come around.

Most people tend to build the wrong things for the wrong reasons during the first week in order to achieve high rank (in my opinion). High rank during week 1 counts for nothing anyway, you're right.
As for the taking a lot of work part, it is simply untrue. If anything there's less work to do during the first week since you have a limited income and a limited number of farms that you can plunder.
