Why?

The alternative is usually rushing to get axes and mass recruiting them. It is a good tactic if you have more active players than barbs and inactive players in your area.

Yup. I usually base my time to stop building axes depending on how many active players I have in my 7x7. After that though... rush those Lc!

Axes > LC early because of the damn militia (and cheap spears ofc, who wastes iron on swords :S)
