Very variable - I can do it it about 5 seconds on a good day.
On a bad day, it can take over 30 seconds.
I live in the sticks, where my Internet connection is awful - sometimes a t-train takes 5 seconds for me, and I have to recall it and re-set it up :-(

It would depend largely on whether you are permanently logged in or not. If you are, a good 5 seconds spent typing in the name and password would have to be added. Also, if you play multiple worlds, you must add a few seconds when selecting the right one.
I would say, on a good day, 5 seconds, on a bad day, 10-15.
