=Also this topic was about east gloating. With the the attacks on him now i don't see him gloating anymore, HE GOT WHAT HE ASKED FOR. Enough said.
Well, you are right in a way, I did get what I asked for, but the rest of your post shows you are clueless otherwise.
Ok, since people seem to want to discuss my merits, or lack thereof, I will fill you all in on a few details.
The day I joined W14 I spawned next to two of the biggest players in this world, including one guy who had nearly 200 villes when his nearest rival barely had 100. He is long gone and I do not remember his name, but that set the tone for my entire W14 life. Where I sit on the map has always been the dividing line between at least three tribes, and I have always been in the smallest of those three with the other two as enemies. I have had many invites to join the larger tribes, but for one reason or another didn't. As a result I have been under almost constant attack and have always had to make 80% or so of my villes defensive and have had to keep all of them in one big cluster (instead of point-whoring all over the map like many have done). I did have a cluster of 40 or so deep in Foe territory for a while and used them as a base for fighting against the Sexy Squad, which was probably the most interesting time I have spent on here, but eventually everyone began hugging and I couldn't afford to keep them any longer and was happy to have them nobled away.
Since I was forced to be heavily defensive, and I was able to handle incoming much better than most, if not all, of my tribe mates, I took on the role of interference player. If Foe (for example) were targeting one of my tribe mates, I would do something to cause their attention to shift to me and my tribe mate would get relief from the attacks. Eventually, with the frustration and lack of success my enemies were experiencing every time they attacked me, people were becoming more reluctant to send attacks my way and I had to become more and more vocal to pull attention away from my mates and to me. This is the root of the vast majority of my insults, and I was pretty damned good at it.
Unfortunately, this world has turned into a love-fest where 98% of the people essentially avoided playing the game altogether and are trying to claim victory by becoming one big tribe so everyone can claim to have won. It is like kindergarten sports, nobody loses. Those of us who would like to keep playing (rather than jumping on the bandwagon with everyone else) are now the target of spam in an effort to get us to quit. There is no fun to be had any more. No one takes the time to put together a cool attack plan. It is just spam, spam, spam. Ridiculously, most of this spam is coming from people who have done virtually nothing to earn anything in the game and have no interest in the game any more, but are bound and determined to be able to call themselves winners rather than moving on to some other game they would actually enjoy. More kindergarten attitude.
There have been several people lately making the statement I take this game too seriously. In a way you are right, because I do take this game more seriously than the vast majority of you who are only still here in an effort to see it end. But I also probably take it more seriously than most people for a different reason. Those of you with 20, 30 , 50 million ODD have no concept of what it is like to really be under attack. You log in when you feel like logging in, spend an hour or two spamming attacks and then can walk away for a week if you like with no concern anything will change while you are away. Try dealing with tens-of-thousands of incoming, all of which will arrive when it arrives whether you feel like logging in or not. At the start of this latest blitz of spam, I averaged an attack incoming every 42 seconds for the entire first week! I know you cannot possibly understand what it takes to deal with that, but I can assure you it isn't the nice, casual game play most of you enjoy, and that was just the first week of what is now a month-long continuous attack, and this is not the first, or even the tenth time I have had to deal with being blitzed by what seems like the entire world. Every time I become the target of a spam blitz, I have to decide whether I will quit the game or deal with it, and once you deal with one blitz (and all the hours you have to invest), it becomes harder to quit the next time, because you have invested all those hours. So yes, I take this game more seriously than most of you, but do not mistake the majority of the insulting posts I have made as being indicative of just how seriously I take it. Those had a specific purpose - I can take those blitzes, where most of my tribe mates could not. Every nuke that I kill is one less that can be sent at someone else in my tribe for at least the next month.
As for that latest back-and-forth between cbirds and myself, that was real. I was ticked off. In this game, he has not earned the right to smell my dirty socks, let alone taunt me about taking a single village after I had spent the past three weeks dealing with thousands upon thousands of none-stop attacks. As if that was some sort of accomplishment. And the hypocrisy of accusing me of being stacked (who the hell does he think has the extra troops to stack my 900+ villages while they are under attack themselves, I wonder?), while the only reason he kept that one village is because someone else stacked it for him, was just too much.
That said, I can honestly say every other message I have posted had a motive. Even those targeted at Hallzy, who I personally think has made some of the more reasonable and gentlemanly posts, were not for real (though that move of posting my convo with cbirds was a bit dickish). My real frustration stems from how this world has developed, whereby the most incompetent, casual player can hug his/her way into a position where they never have to worry about being attacked, and can log in for an hour a week and spam a thousand attacks. There is something seriously wrong with this game for that to happen.
Anyway, I am tired of typing, so think what you will, as most will do anyway.
