Y'should be praising your tribe members for being brave enough to dare post if they're new, or inexperienced in the way of the forums. Most new players wouldn't dream of it, precisely because of the poor reactions they see others getting.

Considering you're the one who insinuated Geico was bad, for the fact one player on the forums doesn't know every tw tactic under the sun, I'd say it's easy to see where people might, might think you were complaining. Or at the very least trying to discredit others, and make fun of someone whose worst flaw in this thread appears to simply be not knowing something you did.

I dont recall flaming anyone in world 39 though tbh. Someone point it out. Humm I said scary was an academy tribe, but logically speaking if they go into random they are. And its not really an insult. This was one comment I guess insulting. I talked about death, rated a few people fairly. Said one person didn't have common sense, cause they flamed me when they didnt read it, and I didnt even do that meanly.

That isn't overly insulting, if I wanted to flame him there was much more I could have said, about his OP. So if you have a problem with me, approach me in irc, or PM, Id rather keep things civil with people I work with. Otherwise dont troll waiting for an opportunity to "attack" people even when its only a loosely connectible event.

Every time I have spoken to you, you have done it in a manner that I have found to be belittling, patronising or otherwise feeding your ego. Even when I asked for your opinion and advice on w34 you still managed to do it in a way that tried to make me feel like crap. One of the first times I posted on these forums YOU were the one that was so utterly pig ignorant that I nearly never posted again.

Y'know, you might well help others, but you should seriously reassess the way you talk to people cos the way in all honesty you have an attitude problem. You always know better - even when actually what you are posting is wrong and you don't stop to listen to others or give them room to use other methods that are perfectly good. You are always polite, but by god you can still be incredibly rude and passive aggressive.

Also remember that you need to have around 40 rams in your defensive villages, you will be responsible for sending approximately 800 attacks each prepare accordingly.

Right, I've been majorly inactive for last few weeks. My coin count is shocking, but my troops aren't too bad.

I'll be honest on this, I'm going to find this tough, and I'm fully prepared to be rimmed in this war. Call me a pessimist but my location is likely to be difficult and I'm fully aware of that. I'm determined, but I'm first to admit to not being the greatest player - I can do my best and try and listen to advice as much as possible.

I'm currently on good tribes with [player]hmaged17[/player] - we kind of have an personal NAP agreement. When we go to war, they will use it against me on pnp i'm sure. From the word go, I've made it clear that tribe loyalties go before my own arrangements though.

Clearly you wont be rimmed Just listen and ask for help when you need it. If you are unsure of your account set up mail me your tech levels, and troop numbers for all your villages and I will look at it.

But really at this point as long as you have 50 hc hanging around you should be able to keep any village under attack. If you want a faster method to sending noble trans than opera I have one.

I'm saying nothing on externals. I know the deal. Especially given past history.

I'm fairly ok on troop levels & techs and stuff. I think... I'm my own biggest critic so I'm never happy. I'll mail them through though. I'm not going to get much chance getting to know you guys (or vice versa) before this, so I'd rather you knew my level (or lack of it) straight away.

So long as skype is off, I can do under 300ms trains reasonably often, even with a slightly slow mac. I've got a fairly decent knowledge of the game I think. Though I'm not even going to begin to profess to be an expert and know finer points.

Most of it is in principle rather than in practise though. I do lack actual experience, but only one real way to get that and thats playing. I really need to get some practise sniping in - I have done it before, but only a few times. That's my fear. One thing knowing principles, different actually doing it under pressure. I wish I had a few more under my belt really to have confidence in doing it.

My biggest problem in this is going to be making sure I have sitters. I generally do play a little most days at work, but i'm extremely limited there and I can't time stuff. With how close I am to DOW it is going to be near impossible for me to do a good job defending between 8:00 and 18:45 week days.

personally I think that for defensive villages building scouts is largely useless, and I don't understand why where you have catapults you have like only 30 or 40.

Personally if I were you I would switch my scouts/cats into one village and have like 5k sp, 1k hc, 800 cats or something of the sort.

Your offense, hummm I know the lc/hc strat I debated it with openeye for quite sometime naturally he won, but I still have my reservations, but I would not use both the hc style buildings and the hc/lc style build I would pick one or the other.

As for experience I don't really think it will be as large an issue as you think it will be the first time I was really ever under attack I ran into 4000 attacks landing in 4 hours, you just have to keep a level, head and if your in Muppet chat I'm sure someone can walk you through it, or join IRC there are always a ton of awesome players just hanging around there.

I reckon this is absoluete minimum I need stacking. In an ideal world probably a couple more need stacking, but they can be defended by sniping. These are my priorities

Priorities to be stacked in order of risk

Looking at it everything else has at least 30mins to spot an incoming noble and snipe with HC if the account is watched carefully and properly.

I apologise LA, I sympathise with the sentiment of punching...

Anyway, with regard to the original topic, pointwhoring definitely has its place early on in game - LC rushing being the most obvious example. If you have a certain reason to do it used effectively it can definitely be worthwhile. I'm pretty sure there's some Geicos who are doing exactly that. I think the thing is, if you pointwhore you need a goal or reason to do it as part of a clear strategy - not just because you want the points.
