Question: Growing Barbs on W34

I have a question about growing barbs on this world (W34) hence why this question is posted here, instead of the general question section. If this is in fact the wrong place, please except my sincere apologies.

World 34 Announcement:

1x Troop Speed
Archers: No
Pally: Yes, with items
Church: No
Farm Limit: No
Fake Limit: No
Tribe Limit: 20
Barbs grow to 1k Points[/B
Bonus Villages: Yes
Choosing Locations: Yes
Support Outside Tribe: No

Do the barbs only grow to 1,000 points or around 1,000 points? Or do they keep growing until max? I found more then a few over 1,000 points and it made me wonder, some over 3,000. Some may have been players who quit, I was just looking for some clarification. Anyone know, for sure, what the rule is on growing barbs for W34?

Or where I can find it? Something more specific then the announcements. Thanks.

The ones that are well over 1000 will be a player who went inactive/quit.
They grow themselves to around the 1000 mark...

here's an example of a couple of the barbs that are in my original village's 15x15
1047pts
1012pts
1003pts
1024pts - bonus village
1020pts
1004pts
1008pts - bonus village
you get the idea
