Support in other villages returning unheralded

Is anyone else experiencing the issue of support troops in other villages suddenly returning with no warning or any action on the part of the supporter or supportee? This has happended to me a couple of times now.

I'm wondering if it is by design or whether it's a bug to do with sleep mode.

Sadly so. It seems to be a feature, not a bug. I remember "good ole times", where your forces stayed when being in sleepmode or the supported village went into it.

Hopefully this is something that will change in the next round. As you say, if you send your troops as support before the village goes to sleep they should stay there.
