Well actually , no butt kissing i do admire that he is a strick mod implementing rules and all but dwarven is a topic killer, making the flow of discussions dull. He is a good mod by principles but he lacks charms and tacfulness as forum mod. Furthermore, his ability to point out evry rules is quite astounding but sometimes he tend to forgot that the community is a group of organic being called people. Tbh, i dont like him as forum mod.
I assure you, find me on a world I don't mod, and you will see plenty of charm.
When a moderator is assigned a section, he/she must remain unbiased and capable of enforcing the rules. Me looking away from the rules and being charming is the first step to start a fast growing snowball effect. Look at Stealthy for instance. I like him, but I can't be biased. Ask him yourself. His track record shows what I think of him in terms of the rules.
Being a forum moderator is a job. A job that should be taken seriously. What exactly is that job? To make sure the rules are followed. If you are posting in a section I mod, it's best you understand I am not modding it to be your friend.
Depends how you interpret the content. It's not easy to differentiate. One person may find something racial or religiously extreme whereas another may not. It's all down to interpretation and you should look at it as openly and objectively as possible. Not saying you don't but I'm saying you can't just keep quoting it as rules because the rules are there to be interpreted. So Volga stating that she has had mods agree before is probably true because they may interpret them differently to you.
However sometimes I do feel you are a little OTT, especially about things being kept on topic, it almost always refers to the topic eventually without your input anyway
I agree with you and do my best to look at things openly. But, should you post something like, "wtf" or "**** you", there is no room for interpretation. Things like that are in clear violation of the rules.
I've told Volga about this, and now I shall mention it here for further clarification. All moderators and elder moderators are in a Skype chat together and speak daily. Not one has spoken out in defense of my actions taken against Volga and her blatant rule breaking. I assure you, if even half of what she said was true, I would not be a moderator right now.
