Why not? On every thread that you invariably have to pull back on topic, you always seem to have the best grasp of the World's progression on the whole as an observer.

Aye, but I think the blogger has to play the world so that they are up-to-date with current affairs. I have to also be up-to-date with current affairs so that I can see what is off topic and what is actually a well thought out post. Plus, as I don't play, the blogs would be universally unbiased and neutral
Whatever happens, I'm sure we'll get somebody who is more than capable of doing the task
