Infect (WoeBYdaP) vs Ronin

Once upon a time there was a magic mirror that sung a song of stats so sweet that it called out to all the most arrogant and egotistical players to come together in one place to share an infection. The infection spread through the already withered hearts of each player instilling them with a self-righteousness that was unparalleled. “We shall post stats everywhere” they cried in unison.

First they sung about all their glorious victories where they swung their mighty infected wands and whooshed their opponents out of w70 without so much as an incoming.

Time and time and time again. So red raw and bloody was the infection that no one seemed to even want their villas!
When they struck upon an enemy that showed any resistance they quickly snapped them up as they ponied around admiring each other’s glorious demonstration of contempt for other tribes.

Dismissive of one and all til the end, their arrogance swept through their declaration as they tried to declare this another case of business as usual. Simple acquisitions without repercussion, bullishly naming their haughty war of narcissistic rage, DePrIvED? Well to those who wish to say DEpRiVEd far too many times. Despite the whole concept behind ‘DeprIVed’ being a complete farce and daresay depraved.

War is pretty much tie(In their eyes) with a little Ronin lead in points conquered but that's nitpicking. It's a tie in 3 days. When you say a specific player sucks as attacking, it mostly insults the active tribe-mate of yours who soulmage is attacking, who is losing quite a few villages to that account. I doubt anybody would care about being called a sucky attacker if they are still able to win against a bigger tribe without any of that talent :icon_eek:

We all enjoy skewing stats to make our side look better, so I certainly won't fault Infect for padding their numbers a little bit. However, I do feel that if they get a crack at it, we should as well. So here is a little behind the scenes peek at what has been going on in the war.

Presently, Infect has 246 caps to our 219.

Ronin's top two cap-monkeys are the following players:

El Lifford, who has graciously given us 92 of his villages.
Lordward, who, out of the goodness of his soul, has given us 31.

Both, we believe, are active members of the Infect community. Both have had their own caps, both have been moving troops around, and both have been complaining. Our lovely Lordward has even found the time to send letters out to my guys to try to recruit them over to the cause. And Lifford has had enough time to let us know that from now on he means serious business and will be sniping.

Carry on smartly, my good man.

On Infect's side, their two cap-monkeys have been the following:

Alexxxxxx216, who has lost 89
Schlott24, who has lost 56

Both of these players are inactive and have no sitters. Both of them have zero ODA and have not been fighting back or defending at all.

This means that 145 of the caps made have been against two dead accounts: over half. 111 have been proper caps, and they get a tip of the hat for snagging them. It has been a fun war with a lot of give and take.

I will be keeping both accounts in Ronin in the event that they come back. And should they come back to us, we'll get them back on their feet and on the offense. If they don't, then enjoy the free caps, Infect.

Consider it a little gift of mine to help keep up the morale in a tribe that is taking an awfully surprising number of sits so early in the war.

Do be careful. It's so easy to burn out when you're trying to carry some of your larger accounts and I'd really like for this to be a nice long war. If you burn out then you run the risk of dumping your bleeders, like Lifford (who, if you'd just be nice and kick him for us, would help with your stats: hint, hint).

For an additional bout of fun facts, both tribes have been moreso poking with sticks than really opping. Infect is attempting to find our soft spots and eat quickly for that glorified 60%, while we've just, well, been hitting things, and breaking through, regardless. So here are the players with the top ODD gained and their respective losses, to show who has managed to get more for their money when they launched.

For Ronin, it comes as no surprise that El Lifford is leading in ODD, with nearly 16m since the war started. We have received 92 of his villages for our losses.

Our next two are FizzyCola and LordWard - both hovering at a little over 10m ODD. We have taken 16 and 32 villages from them, respectively. A fair enough trade.

On Infect's side, they have provided our esteemed Dr. SM with 14m ODD and, for their efforts, have received one village.

Second and third on their list of remarkable feats are LordDominion and Schlott24, with nine whole villags taken from Dominion and, as has been previously mentioned, 56 from Schlott, providing them with a respective 10m and 9m ODD.

Toll, dear, I have no fears about us getting our 60%. In order for you to actually get your beloved threshhold, you have to not only take villages from us, but keep your own players from taking their toys and going home. It's astonishing how much of a lead you lose when you lose one of your players.

But we're still waiting for you to recruit your beloved TR to help pad things out. Go ahead, we won't be mad.

Lordward, trying to recruit my guys to help your stats won't work. We may have some new faces, but I didn't run around trying to recruit everything with a pulse. I've got a solid crew here that I adore immensely who have close ties to one another. But hey, the desperate do what the desperate must in their time of need, so if you want to try to fill their heads with poison then go for it. It makes my guys feel wanted, and they're lovely enough that they should feel that way.

Keep fighting the good fight, and congratulations to both sides for the efforts so far. I look forward to seeing what happens in a week's time.

We're taking bets on who in Infect leaves the tribe next.

@Repo, I'll put five internet points on lifford. For a tribe so concerned with stats, his net losses(which sit at 75 as of this post) have to be a real drain on their morale.

It is strategically effective. You get more caps with less of a loss, and it's something everyone does. You weren't condemned for it. It was pointed out that we aren't going after the easy hits. Which is a lie. We are, it's just that our easy hits are players who are still active.

If the UnDeCoDeD account had actually deleted on time & not been kept in game illegitimately by inno, beyond the non-PP, statutory 5 day deletion period, there would be a lot less caps to be speaking of, is the first thing.

Second: my heart for the game froze when Ricky rolled & Luke sold-out their DnD account to the Duke of one of our two listed, warring Enemy, under first wave fire. The last time I engaged their account, it was to launch 135+ combined, coordinated landings against Bombo in the last DSy4 'Op. I totally wrecked myself over a three day period & I think I knew then, it was likely as sexy as TW gets.

Third: I deleted w70 on Dec 1st but got talked into allowing a caretaker to stay on UnD. Checking in recently however, I found they were inactive to the point of negligence, so that wasn't going to work out.

Four: I can't commit or accommodate anymore, the insane amount of hours I was putting in previously & have seen no evidence that anyone else is able to, either. :icon_neutral:

Here we go again. So its my fault. Right, ok. Come on, sharon, stop this crap, youve said that many times. And since you dont know even half the story, why keep posting it again and again and again.

To clear things up. Yes, I gave the DnD account away. This was done in accordance with Ricky, Jen and Googly. To ensure, that DSy4 players could get the chance to see the end of the world. By the time that went down, DSy4 was dead in the water, with no chances of survival for anyone. So did or did it not work? Many are still here.

Jen will back me up on this, that leaving DnD was damn hard. Given the state, that the account was is. She wanted to internal a hell of a lot of vills (several hundred), right until she saw, just how beautiful the account really was. Guess why its still in that shape, despite having a frontline all the way from k45/44/35/34/64/73.

Hell, I even gave Jen the password and nobled Ronin vills right until the moment I logged off for good. How much more do you expect me to do? Leading on ODD until that moment in the Infect war, with minor losses of vills, that simply were not savable. Leading on combined war stats, 3rd to reach 100M OD, #3 in ODA at the time.

It should show you, that Ricky and I did our very best for a hell of a long time. But simply, when the time comes to call it a day, and for both of us that was the case, all youve done before becomes void and meaningless. Its a shame.

But hey, remember this, its not like we just left without a notice and gave away free vills. You might see it that way, but ask yourself this: Why did we only lose vills, that we were expected to lose, but no other vills whatsoever? Because we left the account in a state, that would happily allow anyone, who got on it, to defend and stear the account without problems.

And none of that actually gives you a reason to run to Infect. And even that didnt work out, did it?

PS: we wrecked ourselves too for that OP. Don think your the only one. We had way more to launch than you, so stop complaining ..

Third: I deleted w70 on Dec 1st but got talked into allowing a caretaker to stay on UnD. Checking in recently however, I found they were inactive to the point of negligence, so that wasn't going to work out.

Four: I can't commit or accommodate anymore, the insane amount of hours I was putting in previously & have seen no evidence that anyone else is able to, either. :icon_neutral:

As humorous as it is to watch you call out Googly, I'm not going to sit silent and let you bash Spence. Spencer played on Mysterious Viking Relic, previously Cryptic Codex, for the majority of the world. Not sure if he left the account after my departure a year ago (also when the name change took place) but while I was around that son of a gun hit rank 2. (We were also rank 1 ODA at the time.)

There is no need to compensate for anything at that point. It was left in game and very well proved.
