Hey world 59! Our world certainly is an interesting world! We have had merges, backstabs, fights, gangbangs, mass recruits winning small good tribes … THE LIST GOES FOREVER!

So I thought we might need to review everything that has been happening and is happening. So I decided to here many of these things from the dukes of the tribes themselves:
Our first interview was firth Lokinder, duke of ESL. A not very know tribe but in the top 20’s and the second lowest member count in the top 20. I liked to hear his opinion on the goings of the world:

Or are you going to expand (as mentioned maybe into Onfire or GTC as i have heard) into other territories. Or the big bang- are you going to merge?

They attack for profit, not to see what's where. When they move, therefore, they are dangerous. They are a real power in the top group of alliances, there's no doubt about that.

[12/17/2011 8:11:55 PM] Art Mills: ONE's threats to my members is difficult to assess. We have treated ONE respectfully as they've grown. Likewise they have treated us respectfully. If they come, a lot of them will die, but they will take some villages. The pain of taking an ESL village is stiff, however.
[12/17/2011 8:13:16 PM] Art Mills: I suspect ONE is wise enough to know easier targets exist. But, if they come, they come. We have no formal relationship with them beyond mutually peaceful living. If that changes, it does. We aren't a normal tribe. They'll advance slowly on us and will expose themselves to great counters. So, I suspect we will have no ONE threat until our size merits the attention.

An interesting discussion indeed. Keep in mind this was done before the Shave declaration.
Next I interviewed Matt Ingham co-player of Mdesjarl the duke of VS. Them being one of the unproven tribes out there. They haven’t had a war in their history, and they are in a position too that they are separating the 2 main clusters of ONE. But they do have really good players and only 17 members and in top 10 is impressive. I decided to ask his opinions too.

We feel as though we have great players and if we can stay active we will do well and wont need to do much recruiting.

But what is interesting is in the NW, SW, and SE there is 1 top tribe in each those being ~ONE~, PITA, and Shave, and these tribes each have what looks to be a pretty good top tribe behind them blocking their path to the rim. So we should be in for some good wars in the future.

However, a few hours ago Shave officially declared on OnFire so I think we might see some action between those to tribes as well in the near future. Unless OnFire can get some other tribes to help them in these wars I dont see them lasting particularly long.

However I am under no illusion they were twice our size so there is not really a conceivable way of us totally getting rid of all of them. Another tribe was always going to jump in & put a dying animal out of its misery. In this case, both shave & rob rob have gotten involved. I welcome there inclusion in this as of course it does take a little bit of heat of us. Although there are plenty of targets we had cleared & we in the process of nobling which have since gone to other tribes.
We hold no hostilities with any other tribe, for now we want to focus solely on finishing off onfire & moving to connect our two clusters

I had been asking for a shared noble planner for a day or so, this was put off & we had a cross nobling incident in which our player gronk took the village. The onfire player (Karloff Wandergriff) lost his entire offense trying to take it back & got other onfire members involved. They demanded we gave it back, we argued our corner, they dropped the NAP & we prepared for war. 3 days later our first op landed & they claimed it was a total surprise & they lost villages because of this element, totally disregarding the fact that trent (noobs on ice) had been saying for days that he had a spy in SKYPE. And so the war began...

They have proven stable & fast growing & I have great respect for them.

They have such tribes as KP & =X to deal with to totally dominate the rim of the south west & we have no intention of going south, so I see no strain on our relations in the future

They have done well & have proven much more stable than most tribes that merge in early world stages.

She asked if I'd co-duke with Jess and I accepted. Jess is more the brains behind the things. (Well her, rawr. and slinkiestwizard), i just somehow speak my mind and get credit when its not really mine to take.

I don't consider selective recruitment merging and therefore I don't consider our expansion a merge. There were many skilled players not taken and they deserve some props. They've been doing a great job of keeping our members on their toes. Respect to them..
My real opinion on merging is simple.. if a duke (or dukes/council) discuss it and see it as beneficial to their tribe as a whole, go for it. It is afterall your game, your fun, right?

I think if the leadership in OnFire had it to do over again they'd take a different path of diplomacy.. I've been in their shoes and tried to take on the world. It can be done but when surrounded as they are, with the tribes that exist in the Northwest, they should have long ago established some diplomacy or at least kept a "low keyed" external image. I'll say this, I like their determination though and I'm going to soon find myself in a situation much the same as I'm creating a premade of 6 accounts with the sole intentions of owning a K. The rule is, no recruitment (6 accounts, all co-played, starting in the same K and try to own it.)

Im going to today, study the players and the wars.

As you can see the top 5 players, 3 of them are from ~ONE~, 1 for PITA and 1 for =GTC=.
So lets do this!
1. The gow:
A really good player which has expanded really well. And due to his fast expansion and the quitting of his closest competitor (Oriental Raisin) He has a 270k lead on rank 2! Only 1 internal, ODA rank 1 and OD rank 2 shows that he has deserved this rank! Problems might be that he is too close to his tribe mates (his near tribemates are all in the top 10 too)
2. Axlthecat
Also a really good player. As you know he left CAN and joined PITA, even though PITA is a long way away. A defensive position, ODD rank 21, ODA rank 56 and OD rank 20. It is expected that he doesn’t have that much of an ODA rank as he is isolated from his tribe. A full 100k in front of rank 3, but he has a bit of catching up to do to get to rank 1. 6 internals and 1 loss sums him up!
3. Mdesjarl
Ex leader of VS. A very good player as can be seen by his ODA rank 3, and OD rank 9. He shares his main k with The Gow and freeman marsh. Which isn’t an easy thing. What has to be seen is, where will he expand to? A good spread and overall a good player. 2 losses, 9 internals Is all he has.
4. Gasti2008
A pretty solid player, growing steadily. ODA rank 7 and OD rank 24 show that he has some firepower. He has only lost 1 village, and that happened yesterday! 6 internals only too.
5. Freeman Marsh
Leader of ~ONE~. His growth has not been steady at all! It keeps on jumping, which seems to be his tactic, gather trains then noble all . He has fallen from rank 3 though, which might mean he is gathering his nobles . ODA rank 14, ODD rank 40 and OD rank 17 show that he does fight, 1 loss and the highest internal count in the top 5: 16. His growth will be hard, he has his home k shared with The Gow and Mdesjarl.

Well. I've been involved in leaderships in tribes on W52, where early on I had a run in with xshahzad's tribe, and W57 where I had an early-game war with a tribe anthills was in, which we won. So, we had some past history, and respect towards one another from past wars. And so, when the past leadership of what was =X realized they had to have a new leader in order to be able to give their tribe a good chance of survival on this world, they came to 2 people - myself, and h0lyghost. I took up the challenge as a favour to my past adversaries, as it was a challenge I haven't had before.

As it currently stands, there is no council - and so in that sense they have no responsibility as leadership within the tribe. They are both still maintaining minor roles within the forum and tribe, as it is necessary to do so whilst I get to know my tribe members well enough to implement a council I feel would work best alongside me, for the good of the team we would be representing.

Well. I would be lying if I said that when I came to this tribe, I believed that it would have no problem in winning the current wars. As it stands, PITA and -KP- have a 3-1 advantage to us. However, I believe the team I represent has what it takes to turn this around. The last attempted op by the combined enemy, on xshahzad, caused a 0 village loss on his part. They appear to under-estimate us, which may well be the cause of their eventual demise.

Depends on how you define "not going good". If you consider the fact that we have 440 villages, to lose 3 in a day would mean it would take 150~ days to eliinate us. Whilst, we have also grown by at least 15 villages already today. So, we are growing 5x faster than the enemy can beat us. I would say that whilst that continues to be the case, there is no need for me to have major concerns. Defensively my team is putting up a great fight.

All I have seen or received, since coming to the public forum to apologize for the mistakes of my predecessors, is rudeness, trolls, flaming attempts and insults. I have to say I am quite disappointed in the fact that such a high proportion of this world are only capable of what is effeticvely the same rudeness that they have been flaming past leadership in =X for showing.

PITA has some members I can respect. The leadership however does not appear to have any sense of common courtesy. So, although I respect their members, I fail to find reason to justify why I showed them any courtesy in the first place. -KP- leadership is the opposite. The leadership I have corresponded with ingame shows politeness and common courtesy. However, certain members of their tribe lack the ability to play the game properly, or do anything more than flame anybody they are fighting. So, PITA members and -KP- leadership I consider in a much higher stance than PITA leadership and -KP- members. If that makes sense?

If they come, a lot of them will die, but they will take some villages. The pain of taking an ESL village is stiff, however.

An interesting discussion indeed. Keep in mind this was done before the Shave declaration.
Next I interviewed Matt Ingham co-player of Mdesjarl the duke of VS. Them being one of the unproven tribes out there. They haven’t had a war in their history, and they are in a position too that they are separating the 2 main clusters of ONE. But they do have really good players and only 17 members and in top 10 is impressive. I decided to ask his opinions too.

However I am under no illusion they were twice our size so there is not really a conceivable way of us totally getting rid of all of them. Another tribe was always going to jump in & put a dying animal out of its misery. In this case, both shave & rob rob have gotten involved. I welcome there inclusion in this as of course it does take a little bit of heat of us. Although there are plenty of targets we had cleared & we in the process of nobling which have since gone to other tribes.
We hold no hostilities with any other tribe, for now we want to focus solely on finishing off onfire & moving to connect our two clusters

They demanded we gave it back, we argued our corner, they dropped the NAP & we prepared for war. 3 days later our first op landed & they claimed it was a total surprise & they lost villages because of this element, totally disregarding the fact that trent (noobs on ice) had been saying for days that he had a spy in SKYPE. I don't consider selective recruitment merging and therefore I don't consider our expansion a merge. There were many skilled players not taken and they deserve some props. They've been doing a great job of keeping our members on their toes. Respect to them..
My real opinion on merging is simple.. if a duke (or dukes/council) discuss it and see it as beneficial to their tribe as a whole, go for it. It is afterall your game, your fun, right?

I think if the leadership in OnFire had it to do over again they'd take a different path of diplomacy.. I've been in their shoes and tried to take on the world. It can be done but when surrounded as they are, with the tribes that exist in the Northwest, they should have long ago established some diplomacy or at least kept a "low keyed" external image. I'll say this, I like their determination though and I'm going to soon find myself in a situation much the same as I'm creating a premade of 6 accounts with the sole intentions of owning a K. The rule is, no recruitment (6 accounts, all co-played, starting in the same K and try to own it.)

al haji rasul al masiha: =X began as a premade. our premade thread had over 3k views, not great, not bad considering how few people know me. we had maybe 150 people considered for start up, but we started with less than 20 mates on about 15 accounts spread across 5 k's. we had a unique cause, not just to have fun and win, but to do so honorably. we have since grown into 45 accounts and have dominated every southwest rim k. maybe i should explain why we did most of our recruiting in game rather than before the world began?

K52 we took by force with less than half a dozen mates we were attacking the #1 and #2 tribes in the k, war! and bash. despite being enemies, they merged into blast! to deal with us but we recruited a couple from the new tribe while launching an op and the rest of the tribe collapsed with everybody a. they began working with me but did not wish to leave their tribe, their tribe disbanded under pressure not from us, the 8 of them then joined us

As you can see the top 5 players, 3 of them are from ~ONE~, 1 for PITA and 1 for =GTC=.
So lets do this!
1. The gow:
A really good player which has expanded really well. And due to his fast expansion and the quitting of his closest competitor (Oriental Raisin) He has a 270k lead on rank 2! Only 1 internal, ODA rank 1 and OD rank 2 shows that he has deserved this rank! Problems might be that he is too close to his tribe mates (his near tribemates are all in the top 10 too)
2. Axlthecat
Also a really good player. As you know he left CAN and joined PITA, even though PITA is a long way away. A defensive position, ODD rank 21, ODA rank 56 and OD rank 20. It is expected that he doesn’t have that much of an ODA rank as he is isolated from his tribe. A full 100k in front of rank 3, but he has a bit of catching up to do to get to rank 1. 6 internals and 1 loss sums him up!
3. Mdesjarl
Ex leader of VS. A very good player as can be seen by his ODA rank 3, and OD rank 9. He shares his main k with The Gow and freeman marsh. Which isn’t an easy thing. What has to be seen is, where will he expand to? A good spread and overall a good player. 2 losses, 9 internals Is all he has.
4. Gasti2008

Leader of ~ONE~. His growth has not been steady at all! It keeps on jumping, which seems to be his tactic, gather trains then noble all . He has fallen from rank 3 though, which might mean he is gathering his nobles . ODA rank 14, ODD rank 40 and OD rank 17 show that he does fight, 1 loss and the highest internal count in the top 5: 16. His growth will be hard, he has his home k shared with The Gow and Mdesjarl.

Well. I've been involved in leaderships in tribes on W52, where early on I had a run in with xshahzad's tribe, and W57 where I had an early-game war with a tribe anthills was in, which we won. So, we had some past history, and respect towards one another from past wars. And so, when the past leadership of what was =X realized they had to have a new leader in order to be able to give their tribe a good chance of survival on this world, they came to 2 people - myself, and h0lyghost. I took up the challenge as a favour to my past adversaries, as it was a challenge I haven't had before.

As it currently stands, there is no council - and so in that sense they have no responsibility as leadership within the tribe. They are both still maintaining minor roles within the forum and tribe, as it is necessary to do so whilst I get to know my tribe members well enough to implement a council I feel would work best alongside me, for the good of the team we would be representing.

Well. I would be lying if I said that when I came to this tribe, I believed that it would have no problem in winning the current wars. As it stands, PITA and -KP- have a 3-1 advantage to us. However, I believe the team I represent has what it takes to turn this around. The last attempted op by the combined enemy, on xshahzad, caused a 0 village loss on his part. They appear to under-estimate us, which may well be the cause of their eventual demise.

Depends on how you define "not going good". If you consider the fact that we have 440 villages, to lose 3 in a day would mean it would take 150~ days to eliinate us. Whilst, we have also grown by at least 15 villages already today. So, we are growing 5x faster than the enemy can beat us. I would say that whilst that continues to be the case, there is no need for me to have major concerns. Defensively my team is putting up a great fight.

I dislike the community on this world so far. All I have seen or received, since coming to the public forum to apologize for the mistakes of my predecessors, is rudeness, trolls, flaming attempts and insults. I have to say I am quite disappointed in the fact that such a high proportion of this world are only capable of what is effeticvely the same rudeness that they have been flaming past leadership in =X for showing.

PITA has some members I can respect. The leadership however does not appear to have any sense of common courtesy. So, although I respect their members, I fail to find reason to justify why I showed them any courtesy in the first place. -KP- leadership is the opposite. The leadership I have corresponded with ingame shows politeness and common courtesy. However, certain members of their tribe lack the ability to play the game properly, or do anything more than flame anybody they are fighting. So, PITA members and -KP- leadership I consider in a much higher stance than PITA leadership and -KP- members. If that makes sense?
