Most of the people here are probably coming to this world with their tribes on other worlds
so they're probably allying with friends tribes on their other worlds, and also for family tribes, its mainly from other worlds, people would come here and stay in the family tribes...

Family tribes really had EPIC FAIL in the previous Worlds, but this World is different. Because of shared forums a family can act as a single tribe.
And also we should differentiate between true families and a single tribe with one academy tribe which is located in the same continent.

Here is a challenge that goes out to anybody who reads these forums.
Post some convincing stats that show family tribe's are less successful than non-family tribes. I don't want something simple that can be torn apart such as "there are more non-family tribes in the top 20".

Lack of communication and no cooperation are some of the reasons family tribes may fail, but it doesn't prove they are less successful. Admitting a problem is half way to fixing it.I'll try again

It actually isn't the thing that they are less or more successfull!
Family tribes are usually bigger and therefore more noticable and maybe feared (hated as a common thing as well)...
That is why when a FAMILY tribe falls, everybody point at it! :icon_wink:

at the time I was in a tribe Called CAKE and I was the only one in the tribe except for a couple of inactive players with only a few villages left.

actually it was due to the lack of competition I quit world 2 here I was inflicting heavy damage on HoT and they offered no resistance a Family tribe made up of over 5 tribes and they surrounded me, and yet they failed in even hurting me when I played.
world 2 got boring for me so I quit then started on world 22 and while i'm banned there till they grant my appeal or reduce the punishment I shall play here on world 30.
people wonder why i'm Arrogant its because of things like that, that I am.
as far as former conquers if anybody who took a village or you took a village from is still playing just check their conquers list till you find your name.

I dont have a problem with family tribes, as long as they are run by a good core of leaders who know what they are doing.
Basically if you start a family in the early stages of the game with people that you dont know it will be very hard for you to keep the different branches together. It is much better to build them up from one tribe then add an extra tribe every couple of months or so. Also know your limitations, few people are made for leadership so only make as many tribes as you have leaders.
The brotherhood will do well here i think, allthough it will be harder than what they are used to so it will be interesting to watch them progress, inactivity might hurt them as they get more invovled in other worlds (BoS, BoK and BoP).
world 17 is a good example of a world with a few pretty successful family tribes within the top 20
