Hi everyone,

As usual we'll be having attack breaks over the Christmas and New Year holidays. The details are as follows:

Christmas holidays

From 00:00 on the 24th of December to 00:00 on the 27th of December, any attacks that arrive at villages will turn into visits. They will not do any damage.

From 18:00 on the 24th of December to 06:00 on the 26th of December, you will be prevented from sending any attacks.

Our support team will be unavailable on the 25th and 26th of December. It will still be possible to send in tickets, but you should not expect any replies.

New year's holidays

From 00:00 on the 31st of December to 00:00 on the 2nd of January, any attacks that arrive at villages will turn into visits. They will not do any damage.

From 10:00 on the 31st of December to 10:00 on the 1st of January, you will be prevented from sending any attacks.

Our support team will be unavailable on the 1st of January. It will still be possible to send in tickets, but you should not expect any replies.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Note that attacks that are sent during the break will hit as normal if they arrive once the break has ended.

Christmas and New Year speed rounds
Can't bear not to battle over the festive period? We will be running two separate speed rounds to cover the attack breaks, with an increased number of free player slots, meaning more players can join the rounds for free! Further details will follow nearer the time, so watch out for the announcement!

Thanks,

Morthy

Cant we at least hit barbs? or have a res income increase for each attack break?

No, the point is that players who are not available to play the game over Christmas/NY are not at a disadvantage. Allowing players to farm would ruin the point of the break.

Can you clarify the situation with support? Can support be launched/land between the dates?

The attack breaks should freeze completely all production, as it's unfair if you've cleared your local 15x15, they get the time to rebuild wall and troops. Attack break is a brilliant idea, I know I won't be on, on christmas day or boxing day, as I will be working most likely.

Symbol30 feels like crying now. Symbol30 is addicted to farming and now Symbol30 shall not be able to farm on those days. Oh well, hopefully when the break is over, Symbol30 can come back with many more resources from farming.

Would be cool if we could atleast still attack barb vills for farming but these breaks are a great thing to make it fair for everyone .... Happy holidays

Yet again, those that do not subscribe to christian values are penalised - there are no such breaks to accommodate other religions around the world, where their practises can be even more restrictive than the christian faiths.
This is a GLOBAL game, so saying that 'moderators' (eg) need a break does not stand up to scrutiny. Neither does the point of 'having a break' (see first sentence).
I am western European, born and bred a christian, and now an atheist, which now is a VERY large minority (church claim), and we should not be subjected to the ramifications of an overly-influenced christian calendar...

How many christians work on the sabbath? (small case deliberate) - how many work Christmas Day? How many christians work Easter?

If any of the last three questions comes up with NONE, then I will withdraw my objection, an give an unreserved apology.

Some how the ignorance of this type comes up every year, and each year the the ignorant people are silenced.

Are you aware how many religious holidays there are a year? In total, there are MINIMUM 10 religious events/holidays in January, alone! Divert your attention -Here- for a full list of the world wide holidays, and then come back here and ask for an attack break for each.

Do some re-search next time you try that... It's utter garbage. TW simply does holidays for the most 'common' holidays. I.E. Christmas, easter, halloween etc...
