I agree with waves.
We are entering a new age.
The gravitational forces acting on the earth are altering because we are way out on the tip of one of the spirals of our galaxy and we are spinning through central gravitional field at the moment, the Mayans etc recognised this as a significant change because they studied the stars in other parts of the galaxy; this change will and is effecting the earth as evidenced by all the recent earthquakes etc but it is not the end of the world.

IMO far more significant at the moment are the political and economic shifts that are currently underway and all nations need to adjust and choose a path that will result in the betterment of all.

USA needs to get over its fixation with being everyone’s saviour and feeling the need to rescue everyone else (when it suits them). during the world wars things were incredibly messed up and the way USA stepped in to sort things out was quite successful but since then the majority of times American troops have been sent to the rescue they have been unwanted and as a result have done more harm than good to the communities they were trying to help. USA should look to sort out its own problems instead of wasting so much effort on the rest of the world’s problems.
Brittan needs to accept that the age of empire is finished. Why do British even care about a couple of windswept rocks in the south Atlantic?
The rest of Europe has serious economic issues to deal with. IDK the answer but I'm pretty sure anything that widens the gap between rich and poor would have disastrous consequences.
The economic rise of the Asian nations places them well but they could also be in for a lot of turmoil if they can not keep the gap between rich and poor under control.
Middle East and Africa have the biggest issues to face in the immediate future. They need to get past centuries of animosity, a huge ask but not impossible. Ireland is an example of how if both sides can get over themselves a bit and start talking nicely and negotiating fairly old hatreds can be overcome in time.

Its not just nations that have issues to face. Capitalism is at a crossroads as well. If anything gets too top heavy it will topple over; a more even balance needs to be found. Riots are not good for business.

Things could go either way. In reality they will probably go a little this way and a little the other way; which is life. I just hope we don’t make too many screw ups because things could get very messy if we do...
