Silly is Sober! Unfortunately...

We timed support to land immediately after in some villes and left some open to recaps. We were not very confident of this op due to the long distance (16 hours is a long time for a good tribe to respond and Vodka! were much closer to the target villes than we were) and did not want to commit too much support to too many villes that could be cheaply killed or caught out of position. If you draw up a map (TWstats isn't working for me), a good Vodka! op can easily capitalize on support caught out of position.

Nice PnP, good luck to you guys (even though you really don't need it).

Send the 5th with minimal support troops so it dies attacking if not needed. And yes, I can understand the reasoning behind it. Have done it quite a bit myself in other worlds.

But if you want to keep a level 20 wall a small escort would just die on the wall?

I have updated the 'troops elimated' section on the intial PnP. Not a bad second wave! We lost a village through recap, but we expected we wouldn't keep them all. Yes, we are over-stretching ourselves and so cannot support every village we take right away. We are having to use defence wisely and trying to keep most of it mobile. It is the more tactical side of the game, such as this, which keeps me interested!

Retaliation wise, have a noble incoming from callmebruce, arguably 3 days too late but we will see how that goes. Looking forward to Vodka! hitting us as hard as they hit YangSen, educational commitments start soon - hurry!!

What are you talking about? Wall has been crashed and 4 nobles have already landed before the 5th.

Alright, alright, calm down. I made a mistake... it happens to us all :p

@Sir F - Will you be deleting when the uni/w.e starts?

Quick update. We have received some nobles in retaliation although...

I suppose I would simply quote from a Skype conversation with a completely new player who hasn't played this game for more than 2 months that we are mentoring.

[X:XX:XX XM] Barbara Hayes: did the noble die?
[X:XX:XX XM] Rep: Yes
[X:XX:XX XM] Rep: we lost X of our defense, spread over several villas
[X:XX:XX XM] Rep: worth it i suppose
[X:XX:XX XM] Rep: well worth it in fact :p
[X:XX:XX XM] Barbara Hayes: so there was a large entourage?
[X:XX:XX XM] Rep: Yes, a pretty large one
[X:XX:XX XM] Barbara Hayes: still wonder why just the one noble
[X:XX:XX XM] Rep: Precisely...
[X:XX:XX XM] Barbara Hayes: and then, two later in a different place.
[X:XX:XX XM] Barbara Hayes: it doesn't make sense. one would think such a well regarded tribe would have some coordination, internally.

The two later she mentions refers to the other 2 nobles aimed at one of the villes we capped in the previous ops. The pre-nuke without rams from mssnight on the villa landed a few minutes ago and over 1.5 hours before his actual nobles arrive.

The inexplicable lone noble escorted by a full nuke to a 100 loyalty village
The 1.5 hour early pre-nuke

I understand that its no longer the early game stage and the loss of a nuke or two is really no big deal but that's all the response we are getting so we might as well just put it up. Furthermore, if Vodka! are planning an op on us, why randomly blow all these close-range nukes/nobles? To kill defensive troops? Those troops that were killed will take less than half a day to replace while the nuke will be out of order for about 10 days!

Alright, alright, calm down. I made a mistake... it happens to us all :p

That is very likely. Both Ben and I can stay around a little longer (although less active) and could probably pull in another player to take over if required but it is unlikely that we will stay unless the world really promises enough for us to stay. We play 1 or 2 worlds a year, staying in each for about 2-3 months (We are from different countries with different breaks from education) under a different pseudonym (although we are in fact easily recognizable) and generally play just to wreck some havoc and get a good fight. Months and years of nobling barbs, internals and players with 40% morale do not appeal to us.

Further to Rep's post, here are the two nobles that hit us:

Splat 1
Splat 2

You will notice that the nuke landed at 09:37:28, while the first noble landed at 11:19:24. Impeccable timing? Even if the initial ramless nuke had wiped out everything in that village, chances are we could have rebuilt enough def in that village alone during this time gap to withstand the nobles and their small escorts.

We believe that somebody is sitting mssnight due to the internal nobles. Would Vodka! please be so kind as to reveal who this player is? Not only because if this player was in our tribe we would kick them for incompetence, but mainly because we are looking for our next noble target and feel this player could offer us maximum result for minimal losses.

Our reliable source informed us over a week ago you were planning something on us, hence we sped up our own planning and have since landed 2 waves on you. I think the time it has taken for anything to hit us is reflecting poorly on your tribe.

Not straight away, can stick around for a bit until things start getting busy - however I think my blood alcohol content may affect my general play for the first week or two!

Finally, the 'troops eliminated' has been updated again.

Nice to see that some folks still remember how to time things and are not just out to snatch all the hugs they can get.

I always root for the underdog, but in this case, I'm not really sure who that is. So I'll just cheer from the sidelines for Silly. Good luck to both sides. :)

Well played AA. Very Nice PnP too. I have a soft spot for Vodka! but I am enjoying this. Good luck to both sides.

btw, who exactly is Ben? Not sure if he is the same Ben I know from W50.

I hope so. I was told that Vodka!'s core players are "decent". Said player did however point out that Vodka!'s rim recruits are absolutely terrible. To be honest, if a 6 million point top tribe cannot take out 29 villages in one wave... one would really begin questioning whether said tribe is deserving of the "top tribe" label.

Silent partner? Not exactly know what you mean by that but Barbara (the new player) periodically sits our account when a certain someone goes off mountain-climbing while on his shift.

Oh if you mean support, if anyone wants to throw a few D troops our way, feel free to drop us a mail in game! However, as Vodka!'s extensive scout campaign on us should reveal, we do not have our villes stacked to the brim. Yet. Anyone wanna change that for us? :D

what, you expect that we need everyone to contribute in this Op?
