Dear players,

We apologize for the confusion the previous changelog has caused, but the update only included the storing of the current wall level. The actual ability to sort will be released in a later update! Stay tuned!

Update to version 8.178

Dear Community,
Our new update to version 8.178 will be released on Monday, July 29th and it will contain the following:

Changes & Improvements

2-Factor Authentication for Premium Transfers

To be able to transfer premium points, you will now need to use a 2-Factor Authentication code that's sent to you via email.

Switching resources made easier
(This change was requested by the international community here! )

To make the market more convenient, we've added an option to easily swap the resources of the offers you're creating.

Multiple noblemen per attack
(This change was requested by the international community here! )

It is now possible to send multiple noblemen in one attack, using the noble train feature, for those who want to do so.
You can of course still send noblemen in a train like before, if you want. Up to you to use the strategy that works best for you!

Paladin XP in reports!
(This change was requested by the international community here! )

You will now be able to see how much XP your Paladin received as part of a battle report.

Account sitter permissions

When setting up permissions for an account sitter, you can now determine whether or not the sitter is able to send resources to villages that don't belong to you.

Loyalty in the Request Support bb-codes
(This change was requested by the international community here! )

Generating bb-codes via the Request Support feature will now also include the village's Loyalty value. This information will be shown below the wall level, and will always show.

Hey everyone!

Yesterday we announced the changelog for version 8.190, and with it came information about the new delayed support feature being introduced to the game. The update was planned to release on Monday, November 11.

Since then, we of course realized you aren’t quite happy with this feature in its current state. We – the Tribal Wars team – appreciate our close relationship with you, our players, and we’re very proud of it - but this time we might have missed the mark. We heard your criticism loud and clear, and we want to work with you and rethink this feature from the ground up.

We decided to not include the delayed support feature in next week’s release and we have no plans bringing this feature into the game in its current state.

To help you understand why we were planning it in the first place, we would like to share our reasoning why we felt the delayed support feature might have been an interesting addition for all players.

As we all know, support for incoming noble trains is essential for high level players. When we added the option to send noble trains as a full feature back in 8.35 in 2015, we already made the process easier to understand for new players, and easier to execute for everyone who knows what they’re doing. After many years and uses of this feature, we did notice however, that defending against noble trains is still very difficult. While many players are rightfully proud of having mastered these tactics, new players or even those with less time still have a lot of trouble with both planning and successfully executing support moves for incoming trains. And, of course, some players utilize external support and tools, which could be a barrier to players unaware that they exist.

We not only planned to make this a bit easier for players who are still learning the game, but also to help high level and experienced players to execute their strategies with less hassle. They could focus on their defensive tactics instead of a timer near the keyboard, and there would be way less need resorting to external tools or scripts.

However, while we would love to talk to you about a different implementation of these ideas, your arguments made it pretty clear: In its current form, it won’t work as flawless as we intended. We are eager to hear more of your thoughts about this issue, so please continue giving us your opinions about this idea. Be assured: All your criticism, your suggestions and thoughts will be forwarded to the Tribal Wars dev team, and maybe together we can come up with an alternative version everyone can enjoy.

Thank you very much for your passionate feedback! We hope we’ll see you around for more years of Tribal Wars!

Kind regards,
Your Tribal Wars Team

Update to version 8.192

Hello everyone,

Our new update will be released on Monday, November 25th and it will contain the following additions and changes:

Changes and Improvements

Tribe Overview
As we announced prior to the update, we collected your feedback and are happy to see the majority was pretty positive on this upcoming change. To better support Tribe leaders of big and small tribes alike, as well as helping new players get a better overview on their tribe, we added a lot of information on the Tribe Information window.

As long as a tribe member is giving his okay to do so, the tribe leader can now see all data about his account that might be useful to them. Many additional tables and logs will be added to the tribe members area, so logging into an account just to catch up on statuses should no longer be an issue, while keeping login credentials safe and making potential misuse of sitting no longer needed.

Very important: Every tribe member can decide for themselves what they allow to be shared with the tribe. Sharing your statuses of premium, troops, building levels, support, incoming attacks and commands can be turned off and on separately in the tribe member settings.

Improvements to the Unit widget in the village overview

  • Now it will be possible to filter in the units widget into the following groups: all, own, and other.
Tribe Overview:
  • The Tribe Overview will add new events to the event log, as well as filters to make the log easily readable.
  • Tribe rights will get multiple new tabs showing troops, buildings, defenses and point trends of all players to barons/dukes
  • Regular members only can see name, rank, points + trend, global ranking, villages, features and groups within a way smaller overview. With these tools, leads should be able to checkup on their members and productivity easy and without having to log into various accounts.
Tribe member troops:
  • Duke and Baron can see, for every player who opted in:
    • Amount of troops for each unit and player village
    • Details for all troops (supporting, moving, stationary)
    • Total amount of active commands
    • Total amount of incoming attacks
  • Regular players can see just the total of incoming attacks (for organizing support)
Tribe member buildings:
  • Can only be seen by barons/dukes
  • Shows the current building level for all player villages
Tribe member support:
  • Can only be seen by barons/dukes
  • Shows, for each player:
    • Units currently in the village (own and support)
    • Units currently moving to the village & incoming support (not showing: support from other players)
    • All returning commands
    • Total amount of incoming attacks to the player

You can find more information in the Tribe Overview Announcement

Improvement for sitter permissions

  • Added opt-out option in the account sitting screen to recall and send support home.
Bugs and fixes

  • Updated button description in the rules, for consistency with the game screen.

Update to version 8.193

Hello everyone!

Our new update will be released on Monday 2nd December 2019 and it will contain the following additions and changes:

Changes and Improvements

Quick Commands: Troop Templates

We added a new, quick way to select your favourite troop templates for any attack or support actions. While on a Premium Account, you will now have an additional field on your map sidebar: The Quick Commands selection. You can easily choose between one of the templates you already set up, decide if you want to attack or support another player and send out your troops with almost a single click!

- Select your troop template in the Quick Commands drop down menu directly on the map screen's sidebar
- Select your plans for this template - Attack or Support
- The cursor will change and you can immediately click on any village you want to attack or support
- It is also possible to select multiple villages without changing the order. All given orders will be executed immediately with the selected template.
- If you deselect an option on the Quick Commands menu or leave/reload the map screen, your cursor will return to normal.

The regular troop template menus are not affected by this feature, and can also be used exactly like before.

Report village names

Just like player profiles and private messages, village names can now be reported to the support team, when an inappropriate village name is spotted.

- The Report village name option will be found on the village info screen of any player-owned village.

Update to version 8.193

Hello everyone,

Our new update will be released on Monday 13th January and it will contain the following additions and changes:

Changes and Improvements

Attack of the Horde

The "Attack of the Horde" event will start on January 16! Gather your troops and get ready to breach the horde's front lines with logic and cunning!

Report details and search

The format of attack reports will be changed to now contain coordinates and continent number. This should make searching for reports easier, since you no longer need to know the enemies' village name.

Removal of the Scavenging Overview Link

Just a tiny one: The info link on the Scavenging window forwarding to Mass Scavenging ("The Scavenging Overview functionality has moved to Mass Scavenging") will be removed. Of course all functionality will be unaffected.

Mentoring achievement change

The requirements for the Mentoring achievement (aka the number of apprentices needed) has been lowered. We noticed this achievement to be quite unattractive and hard to get, especially on worlds with less player counts, so it should now be much easier to finish. The new requirements will be calculated on all existing accounts as well, and all eligable accounts will be awarded the Mentoring achievement if they match the new requirements.

Update to version 8.195

Hello everyone,

Our new update will be released on monday, January 20th and it will contain the following additions and changes:

Changes and Improvements

Barricade Battle - Changes
Before this update, the Barricade Battle Event would take you back to the main event overview after attacking a barricade and not fully achieving victory.
There would be no indication that you had partially cleared the barricade or which barricade you just attacked. To help with these issues, we changed the following:
- You will no longer leave the barricade screen you're in if you don't clear a barricade during an attack.
- A blue "Map" icon was added for stages where not all enemies are defeated
- The Pop-up message for defeating a stage will now say "Event Map" instead of "Continue"
- If you still have at least one unit left, a new button will be displayed to bring you to the unit selection screen.

Paladin XP Limit
(This is an improvement suggestion from Tribal Wars International, reported here)
To solve a possible exploit when stationing your Paladin in other players' villages and attacking with an absurd amount of troops, we adjusted the XP gain for the Paladin in this situation.
The XP gain for the Paladin is now leveling out after a certain amount of support. Your Paladin will still get XP, but the gain curve is now less extreme than before.

Information: Xenforo Update

Reminder: Due to an update of the forum, some User accounts might have received a personal message regarding their account. This should only affect users with forum accounts differing from their ingame account, multiple accounts or similar. If you received a PM, please contact our Support team as the message says and confirm your current account.

Update to version 8.196

Hello everyone,

Our new update will be released on Monday, January 27th and it will contain the following additions and changes:

Changes and Improvements

Countdown Timer Changes
A small addition, but one you have been requesting for a while:
All endgame countdowns you will now additionally show the exact date and time when the countdown will end. Keep in mind: Only "Dominance" and "Rune Wars" use the holding period, which is when the feature will be active.
Depending on the game version and event, it will either show as a tooltip for the countdown bar or display right underneath.

We hope this will help you planning your endgame even better than before!

Update to version 8.198

Hello everyone,

Our new update will be released on Monday, February 11 and it will contain the following additions and changes:

Changes and Improvements

Stockpile Distributor improvements
The Stockpile Distributor has been changed to make deliveries less wasteful!
Using the Stockpile Distributor will now take your villages' free storage into account. It should no longer send more resources than its target village will allow to store.

Village name wrapping is now always activated
On village lists, going forward from the last appearing village will now always wrap around to the first one again.

Improved Transfer information tooltip
The in-game information given before a world transfer has been updated. Instead of a "eligible world", it's now made clear that you can only transfer from
a different world to the same casual world. This should hopefully help players with questions about eligible worlds on world transfer right in the game.

Improved Village name violation warning
The text for receiving a warning because of inappropriate village naming has also been improved. It should now be much clearer that the warning is not necessarily only attributed to one village name, but possibly more than one name.
