Update to version 8.198

Hello, Tribals!

Our new update will be released on Monday February 17th and it will contain the following additions and changes:

Changes and Improvements

Church Radius
Before you start building the church, you will now be able to check the church radius on the map, if you're playing with a Premium account.
If the world has the church option active, you can activate this feature on the right menu (you will find a new checkbox option there). Once it's activated, you can select additional checkboxes for every single church level and check its radius as well.

When active, you can click on each village (your own, barbarian or other players' villages) to see what their potential church radius would look like.
Each church radius (small, medium, big) will be shown in a different color on both the world map and the mini map.
We hope you'll find good use in this new, helpful feature. It should make it easier for players to plan your perfect church setup!

Update to version 8.204

Hello Tribal Warriors!

Our new update will be released on Monday, March 30th and it will contain the following additions and changes:

Changes and Improvements

Mass cancellation of transports
Based on a player suggestion, we're adding the option to mass cancel transports. You can find the original player suggestion here.

Similar to the mass cancellation of commands within the command overview, you will now be able to access a similar option on the transport overview. This should help with getting your transports under control!

Flag cooldown changes
This suggestion was also made through feedback received from a Tribal Wars International player!

Most players know the situation: You set a flag, throw all warnings about the 24 hour limit into the wind and - oops - realize you put the wrong flag up. This might be "only" quite annoying, but might also cost you your village.
We tweaked the flag interface a bit, to make it more clear for everyone!

oawQLFH.png
  • After having chosen the flag you want to activate, it will be highlighted on the selection screen and give you the option to activate it or cancel your selection.
  • You can still click on a different flag, and your selected flag will change accordingly.
  • Only if you once again click "activate" - and confirm your choice once more - the flag will be set and can only be changed again after 24 hours. If you already had a flag activated, the new flag will replace it as usual.

Update to version 8.204.1

Hello everyone,

Our somewhat new update will be released today and it will contain the following additions and changes:

Changes and Improvements

Unicorns!
Spring is here - and with the magic of spring, comes the magic of... Unicorns!

From now on, all scout and cavalry units will be replaced with powerful and mystical Unicorn units. All Unicorn units have the ability to fly over walls, and are immune to attacks from all non-Unicorn units!

  • Sneaky Unicorns (previously known as Scouts) not only accurately reveal all of the enemies forces, they will also be able to use the power of love and friendship to reveal the location of the enemy hiding place - hooray!
  • Rainbow Unicorns (previously known as Heavy Cavalry) can fire high-powered rainbow laser beams from their eyes, instantly vaporising almost any enemy unit from a range of up to 10 fields away!
  • Pretty Unicorns (previously known as Light Cavalry) are now the fastest units in the game, travelling at a speed of 1 field a minute, and they are able to carry other troops on their back, thus increasing the speed of the entire army!

We hope you enjoy these carefully balanced, permanent changes, coming RIGHT NOW to all worlds - including ones that are currently active!

Update to version 8.205

Hello, Tribal Warriors!

Our new update will be released on Monday, April 6th and it will contain the following additions and changes:

Anvil of the Mercenary King

This update will bring a bunch of small, but hopefully helpful changes to the Anvil of the Mercenary King event!

Additional Event Day
We will extend the event by one additional day, so you won't end up with leftovers and can take your time crafting your final items on the King's forge!
On this additional day, you will not be able to contribute to the rankings anymore, and you will not be able to purchase additional materials with Premium Points.
However, you will receive the materials from your last daily ranking, and you still will be able to craft items with all materials that might still fill your inventory.

More Items added to the item pool
The following items have been added to the event:
  • Archer Booster Gold
  • Defense Booster Gold
  • Sword Booster Gold
  • Catapult Damage Booster
  • Workshop Booster Bronze
All of these rewards can now be earned via crafting throughout the Anvil of the Mercenary King event. Good luck!

Material price increase by rarity
A fan favorite: Previously, the material price increased for a specific material. This might have put you in unlucky situations, where a desired item requires material you don't have. So, we changed it!
Now, the material price will instead increase for all materials at the same rarity level.
  • Lead, tin, copper and steel are common materials
  • Bronze, silver and gold are rare materials
So, for example, buying 1x lead will increase the price for all common materials, but not the price for the rare materials.
We hope this change will make the event more enjoyable for everyone.

New Event Summary
After the event finishes, you will now be presented with a brand new overview of your accomplishments.

Dear players,

Our new update will be released on Tuesday, April 14th and it will contain the following additions and changes:

Decommission of Noblemen

We added yet another popular player request to the game: It will now be possible to decommission Noblemen when the coin system is active, just as you would decommission other units as well.

Update to version 8.208

Hello, Tribals! Our new update will be released on Monday April 27th and it will contain the following additions and changes:

Push Notification Changes

We reworked the entire notification system to make it more convenient for everyone.

After this Update, you can enroll into the new push notification system via Settings → Push Notifications. As opposed to the old notifications, the new push notifications will also update you if you're not logged into the game.

Additionally, you will get tons of new information you did not get in the browser version before. Their content matches the existing push notification content for TW mobile versions and should be of great help.

The new push notifications will be activated for all worlds you're playing on, once you enabled them.

Please note: The old notification system will no longer be active after this update. If you still want to receive notifications, you will need to enroll in the new system.
Community request: Border Lines on the map

Another community request made it into the game! The border lines on the map screen should now be more pronounced and better visible in tight battle situations. This suggestion was originally made here!
Community request: Attack indicator on Resources page

The request resources page will now show both "attack" and "support" indicators on the village list, making it easy to see on first glance if you need to move your resources.

Dear players,

Our new update will be released on Monday, May 11th and it will contain the following additions and changes:

Map Graphics Overhaul

This is a biggie! The graphics of our ingame map will be completely updated. This is not only great news for new and mobile players, also Tribal Wars veterans will be especially happy: The new map graphics are based on our classic Tribal Wars world map - yes, the very first one - but with carefully redrawn and re-rendered graphics!

We've never been quite happy with the last map graphics changes, because it didn't reference the old design well enough, and it always just looked a little bit off. Also, the map has always been a bit outdated when playing on mobile and high resolutions, because the villages were created for much smaller screen sizes. To make the map better, we took our old assets and completely redrew them with high resolution graphics - finally, zooming in will no longer lead to eye sore.

The option to switch map graphics will be removed due to this change. But we are confident that this is a good trade-off for the map finally looking like it is supposed to - and we are sure you will like it as well!
1588866275923.png

Mass decommissioning of Noblemen

Yay, it's another often-wished-for community request! We're happy to announce that Nobles can finally be mass-decommissioned!

Going to the Decommision menu, you will find nobles having the same mass-decomm rules than other units now as well. Have fun finally retiring your unneeded Snobs!

Update to version 8.222

Dear players,

it's time for a small, but cool community update! It will be released on Monday, October 5th, and among a few other setups for future content, we managed to put in a few updates and fixes that have been asked for by the Tribal Wars community. Here's what's coming:

Noble Planner Sorting

This was suggested on Tribal Wars International! Original suggestion: https://forum.tribalwars.net/index.php?threads/planner-sort.284782/

In the Noble Planner window, you will now be able to sort the table by village points, as it is the case in all other overview tables in the game.

F1SjHqK.png
Night Bonus window update

When hovering over a village on the map screen, the player's night bonus window will now be shown.
This feature is only applicable to worlds using the variable night bonus setting, and it is a premium account feature.

uwzd6kQ.png

Updated Mobile Inventory

To help players using the inventory on the mobile version, we optimized the graphics and UI a bit:

wi5i3UG.png

- Icons are larger to make them easier to interact with
- Tapping the item icon will open up a box to show additional information
- Arrow buttons are added to switch between multiple pages of inventory (only visible if there is actually more than one page used)
- The pagination display on the bottom of the page should be easier to read and to use

Feedback

We hope all of these changes will make Tribal Wars an even better time for you! More community updates are on the way, so be sure to let us know what you would love to see updated next time!
If you want to share your feedback with us, you can do so in this thread.

Hello, Tribals! Our new update will be released on Monday, October 26th and - next to some preperations for the Steam release - we added a bunch of changes, improvements and fixes you guys specifically asked for! And we've got an additional surprise as well! Let's see what we have!

Sortable groups on map

This is a community idea on Tribal Wars International here. Right now, groups on the map screen are only ordered by creation time. We made this better!

Now, players can freely rearrange the groups on the map as they seem fit. The reorder functions from the groups menu will be available also in "Manage Highlights".

The top group will always be shown first, then followed by 2nd, 3rd, and so on. And, last but not least: You can also choose which group's icons will be displayed on the map screen!

This should make organizing your groups a whole lot easier!
Troop overview sorting

Another community request! If your troops are stationed in a few different villages, you currently can't easily sort them by distance in the troop overview. We gave it a bit of work, and now sorting by distance should no longer be a problem!

Tribe Prestige loss changes

We just won't stop this time. We changed a few things about how tribe prestige loss is being handled in various forms of inactivity. If a player ends up banned, you will no longer lose tribe prestige if you kick him out of the tribe. Ban times or reasons are not taken into account - kick a banned player, don't lose prestige doing so. This was a community request on Tribal Wars International here.

A new Beta server with new stuff!

We have more news! If everything works out as planned, you will be able to check out our brand new Beta world "Beta 3" (starting Monday, October 26th).

Here, you can feast your eyes on the first implementation of a brand new quest system coming to Tribal Wars. We are reworking our entire, current quest setup to make it both, more accessible and exciting, but also more useful for everyone - and it will hopefully look a whole lot better than before! Quests will now be moved to groups within specific topics and quest chains, which will feel quite different than what you are being used to. Rewards and progress will also be unlike what you might expect. But: We don't want to tell you everything just yet, since we want your honest and unbiased feedback for this new, major feature of the game.

So be sure to check for the zz3 world on our official Tribal Wars beta server, which you find on the world selection menu, and tell us what you think!

Hey everyone,

our next update will be released on Monday, November 9th , and we have one change quite some players asked for, which might be quite interesting for everyone!

Beginner Protection Update

If players launch an attack against other players, while still being in Beginner Protection, the Beginner Protection will end and they will be attackable from that point onwards, even if the regular protection time isn't over yet.

  • When starting an attack while in Beginner Protection, you will get a warning message informing you about your loss of protection, should you confirm this attack
  • When confirming the attack while in Beginner Protection, you will immediately lose the protection. The attack will be started as usual.
  • If you don't confirm the attack when seeing this message, you will keep your protection, but not attack (obviously).
  • The Protection will only break if players attack other players. Attacks on Barbarians will not trigger the protection loss.
  • The Protection will be broken based on the time of attack.
  • Scouts DO count as attack units for determining an attack and will break protection when sent.
  • If you lose your protection and log out and back in, you will still not have Beginner Protection or granted new Protection.
  • When the player is conquered and starts a new game, they will get new Beginner Protection.
  • When the account is deleted and restarted on another world, the Beginner Protection will be active again.

Hey everyone,

our next update will be released on Monday, November 23rd, and with it, we'll be releasing the following change, as suggested by the community!

Sending mass support

With our next update it will be possible to send mass support from any of your villages to any other (even not owned) village. This feature has been requested by the community on several occasions. Among others on this market by Cheesasaurus;

This feature will make it easier for you and your tribe to send support to villages in need in an efficient and timely manner. It will be possible to apply your rally point troop templates in the same way as you would on the individual support commands. Please note this option will only be available to players with an active Premium Account.

On the image below, you can see what it will look like in-game:

Hey everyone,

Our next update will be released on upcoming Monday, January 11th, and with it, we'll be releasing some community changes!

Outside support changes

Community suggestion on International: In Progress - Support Outside Tribe Setting: Supports Turn Into Visits | Tribal Wars - EN

In response to requests from the community, on worlds where support outside of your tribe is disabled, you're currently unable to send supports to villages not owned by your tribe. With this change, we're adding a new setting to world's support settings, which allows for variety in the behavior of support on these worlds.
  • With the 'sending' setting, the previous behavior applies, and you will not be allowed to send support to non-tribe members.
  • With the 'arrival' setting, you will be able to send support to non-tribe members, with some conditions:
    • Players are allowed to send outside support to villages, with a warning stating the troops will automatically be returned if sent to a non player/tribe owned village.
    • Troops sent to villages not owned by a player/tribe will return upon arrival automatically if the village is still not owned by the tribe on arrival.
We're expecting this new setting will add greater strategic depth to the worlds with outside support disabled! Note that worlds where this setting is currently activated will remain unchanged.

Tribe only marketplace listings

Currently, it's possible to filter offers in the marketplace, showing only offers from members of your Tribe. With this change, we allow the person listing the offer to specify it is only available for tribe mates, making for a much more convenient way to trade resources with only your tribe!

TribeTrade.png

Withdraw troops from village info

Community suggestion on International: In Progress - withdrawing troops from a village | Tribal Wars - EN

Another community request! Currently, it is possible to withdraw troops supporting other villages in specific quantities from the Rally Point, instead of having to withdraw all troops. With this new change, we're making it so you can also choose to withdraw specific troop quantities supporting other villages from the village info screen.

New & Recently updated section in tribe forums

When you get a notification for a new forum message, currently your forums simply open on the main page, meaning you must manually navigate to the posts. With this change, we've added a 'new forum posts' section to the forums, which shows displays the newest replies to threads.

This setting can be disabled by the tribe aristocracy if they decide they don't want this enabled for their tribe.

Hey everyone,

Our next update will be released on Monday, February 8th, and with it, we'll be releasing a community change!

Booster Duration Changes

To improve the user experience with boosters, you can now apply a second booster of the same item onto an already running one. This will prolong the effect by the amount of time the second boost is good for. For example, if you have 10 hours left on a booster, and use another one which lasts for 12 hours, the duration will be increased to 22 hours.

This can only be used with items which offer the same boost, but can be used if the two boosts last different durations.
For example, if you use a bronze noble booster on top of silver noble booster, since both give +2 loyalty loss they can be applied over one another.

However, you can't for example use a gold noble booster on top of a silver, as the gold booster gives +5 loyalty loss.

Hey everyone,

Our next update will be released on Monday, February 22nd , and with it, we'll be releasing a community change!

Village Notes

In the next release, we will introduce new ways to organize and read your village notes. We found that players had to rely on external scripts in order to keep their notes organized and useful, so we’ve introduced the following improvements in order to help you all keep your notes in order.

1.png

You will notice on the map page, the underneath the world map is a new link titled “See Village Notes”. When you click this link, you will be taken to a new village notes page that displays all of the villages you currently have notes for.

2.png

On this page, villages can be sorted alphabetically by village name, or by player name. You will also see a small preview of the note, and by clicking the arrow, you can expand the note entirely in order to read it.
From here, you may also directly edit a village note and save any changes made. This should make editing multiple notes easier.

3.png

You will see at the top of the page that you can also navigate to notes shared by players in your tribe, and also notes from your friends. This will allow you to easily jump between all of the notes that you have access to.

Finally, you can search your village notes just as you would in other areas of the game, by player name or village name.

Use Multiple Resource Packs

This was suggested on Tribal Wars International here!

Another change in this release is the ability to use multiple resource packs from your inventory at once.

4.png

Just above the 'Use' button, you'll see a drop down menu which allows you to select how many of the packages you want to use. Select from the list, and then click use.

5.png

The confirmation screen which appears will now also include the quantity you are going to use with this action.
Hopefully, this change will make using items much quicker and convenient for you!

Bugfixes

This week, we have eight bug fixes for you, most of which concern the new Quest System that was launched on some markets with the latest wave.
  • New Quest System: An issue with the "Recruit Second Paladin" quest being active on a world with just one Paladin.
  • New Quest System: An issue with a variable being displayed incorrectly.
  • New Quest System: An issue with the Event tab being active when there is no quest in an event.
  • New Quest System: An issue with broken code being shown instead of a quest description.
  • New Quest System: An issue with text localization above images.
  • Event: Defenders of the Inner Castle Achievements not working in some instances.
  • An issue with the Mass-select hammer being broken.

Our next update will be released on 19th of July, and with it, we'll be releasing a couple of things, but the biggest one is the rework of the Attack Planner!
A while ago, we announced that this has been in development and we a proud to say that this development is now completed! You can read about it in our separate announcement here.

Bugfixes

Next to the Attack Planner, we have a couple of bug fixes for you.
  • First, we want to say sorry for this one in case you have been affected, but our new Quest System did create an issue where players weren't able to start on the new worlds right away. This is now fixed and we hope you can forgive that one.
  • An issue was fixed that created inactive links in the reports about received support.
  • An issue with pre-registrations on worlds was fixed.
  • An issue that created an error with the tech level system has been fixed.
  • An issue with our Horse Lords event not showing the highest daily rank correctly in the event summary has been fixed.
